Helen McCrory has died

Following a battle with cancer. Very sad.

Aw no she's so young. So talented, Aunt Polly is my favourite in Peaky Blinders won't be the same without her.

Oh that’s so sad. I was part of a singing group and she was a trustee for a charity. She came along to our performance and she chatted to people after. She was quite tiny and slender and very warm and friendly. She posed for pictures too. She was a great actress.

can’t stop thinking about her 14 and 13 year old children

So talented, and so very sad it's really quite a shock.

She was such a gifted and versatile actress, one of a kind. I thought she looked very unwell over the last few years, frail and guant and imagined it was cancer.

DH lost his mum as a teen, and it's something he's never really quite got over. Such an awful age to lose your parent. I always feel for the surviving parent too, as not only have your got your own grief but you've got to stay strong and look after your kids. Life can be so cruel at times. Rest in peace, Helen.

So cruel and unfair. Bless you Helen, so sad for your family.

I chose my name because of the character and the way Helen magnificently played Polly Gray. I can't believe it.

Terribly sad loved her in Peaky Blinders

So unbelievably sad.

That's so sad. She was an amazing actor.

I was so sad to see this. DH and I were only watching Harry Potter and the deathly Hallows 1 and 2 last night and were discussing how brilliant she was in that, and how she stands out even in the impressive cast. We then spent ages thinking about what else she is in (and resorted to checking Wikipedia). Such a shock to see today she's been taken by cancer . RIP Helen, you talented soul.

I saw her in Medea..she was mesmerizing..amazing talent,,

So sad, upset for her children and husband. I thought she was amazing and seemed such a lovely person and so happy with her husband. My mum was a similar age when she died so always feel awful for young children. I was in my early twenties so not as awful as 13 or 14.

Heard her on Desert Island Discs last year - she was a hoot, and seemed so joyful. As an actor, she had such power as well - so sad.

This is what really made me notice her. She was a force of nature. Still is - in the hearts and minds of all of us who remember her.

Taken too young, the wonderful, incredibly talented Helen Mccrory. Always so positive, confident and happy. Gutted for her X

I couldn't believe it when I read the news! Very talented woman and still so young! It is so cruel and 2 teenage children as well.

I'm horribly shocked and very sad. I've loved her since she was Barbara Villiers in Charles II, she was my favourite actress and I was thrilled that she was cast as Bellatrix in Harry Potter, even though she ended up playing Narcissa due to her maternity break.
Just awful.

Shocked by this. What a fantastic actress and such a young age, tragic.
