Helen McCrory has died

Following a battle with cancer. Very sad.

Absolutely shocking. She was an incredible actor, one of this country's most talented, I think. I took DD and her friend to see her in Medea a few years ago, and the friend was so moved she sobbed for the whole evening.

Her poor family. The children are at such a tender age to lose their mother. She obviously wanted to deal with it privately so I’m glad it never became public knowledge.

I was really shocked to read this. So so young.
Really talented actress and seems so down to earth. RIP

I heard her talking with her husband very early in lockdown. They seemed so funny and full of life.

How much more awful that her last illness was during lockdown- she wouldn't have been able to see her friends, go on a special holiday, enjoy a last trip to the theatre.

I only really became aware of her when I saw what she and her husband were doing to help people struggling during the pandemic. How incredible to think they did that while she was ill. So so sad. Young children too .

DCousin worked with her and said she was a lovely person (in a slightly mad actorish way), as well as being a great talent. So sad.

Her husband's announcement was so beautifully written it had me in tears. So so sad.
