DC chatter as they play on Xbox, dogs faffing about finding their comfy spots for the night, heating humming, neighbour DC shouting and banging.

Tinnitus, wind outside and the door banging in a draft.

Very quiet here , mainly silence and the occasional tap tap of my dh on his pc replying to a post on his diy forum in the next room.

One of the kids just got up and used the toilet and didn’t wash their hands so I’m off up there in a minute!

Soon an old episode of real housewives of New York will be on as I need some escapist shit to get me through the night (insomnia, court stress with my ex, other worries that mean I rarely go to bed for sleep at all so have set up camp on the big sofa)

I can hear Dp breathing and noise from the main road.

Fridge humming - that's it. Everyone else is in bed!

One of my dc in the loo just sitting there does this every night for about an hour. Waits for bladder to fill. Drives me nuts.

My own breathing....otherwise absolutely nothing..,,,it's SO quiet here. Sometimes hear pheasants squawking or the tawny owls hooting. Not anything right now though.....

That annoying repetitive music that comes on BBC HD after the news and DH slapping his head in time to it. The cat yowling for food even though her bowl is full.

Dog snoring, the cat cleaning itself and some wind coming down the chimney.

So many people with tinnitus! I have it too but not too bad and not all the time. If anyone reading this hasn’t tried the head tapping trick, put ‘tinnitus head tapping’ into YouTube and watch the video demonstrating it. I have to use it sometimes to get to sleep if it’s particularly bad.

As to the thread, I can hear my the muffled sound of my brother talking downstairs and occasionally the baby making a noise in his sleep next to me.
