I think a dish of tricolour salad - mozzarella balls, torn basil leaves, slices of tomato, salt, black pepper and a good drizzle of olive oil and balsamic over the top, looks good and tastes amazing. Sometimes I add in an avocado that I’ve squeezed lemon over too. Serve with thick slices of focaccia to mop up the juices!

I wrap asparagus in Prosciutto and roast with some black pepper and sea salt. It’s gorgeous

I do a big quiche or Spanish omelette in a baking tray for things like that. Easy to cook and easy to transport

Rice salad.

Always a rice salad. Usually a sabrina ghayour recipe.

Cheese board or any kind of platter

If it's for a garden gathering type thing, I would do a picnic loaf- a hollowed out cottage loaf or boule, filled with layers of veg (spinach, slow roasted peppers, aubergines, onions etc), cheeses, balsamic tomatoes and meats (if not veggie). Put the 'lid' of the bread back on, press down (or weigh down), wrap tightly in cling film and chill. When slice into wedges it looks and tastes lovely.
