If you're 5 foot 6 and a half... how much do you weigh...

As the title says... and do you think of yourself as slim, average or overweight?
I think I'm struggling with body image. I've gone down from 11 stone 9 a year ago to approx 9 stone 11... I still feel very overweight and want to lose another 0.5 stone at least. But people say I'll look too thin then. I'm 48 if that helps.

I’m 11stone and feel awful at it. Clothes don’t fit and I look lumpy. My ideal weight is just under 10stone. Food and no gym had been my downfall in lockdown, pretty embarrassed!

I am just under 12 stone but look slim. There is such a thing as being big boned - my wrist is bony but measures 8” around!

PandaBabyJuly · 31/03/2021 16:06

I am 7 months pregnant; so normally
My weight is around 8 stone - 8 stone 4

@Veronika13

Depends how tall people are. I'm 9.2 stone and 5"8, size 8 I feel very slim but if I was less tall I'd feel more average ..?
If you’re not 5 ft 6.5inches not much point posting 🙄
Coachee · 31/03/2021 16:56

I’m that height and I feel average at the same weight as you - in fact it’s my ‘stable’ weight, where I tend to just land with some effort but no dieting. I’m 40. Body shape and toning is everything though. I felt good at that weight post a baby, and less good and more flabby post baby.
I also have a small frame/small boned, so at that weight have lots of curves and fat! My SIL can weigh the same as me (also same height) and look really skinny!

My happy place is the weight where I feel good, with an amount of effort that is easily sustainable! I did often think I’d like to be slimmer, more muscular etc but living in a realistic space and learning to be happy with the way I look is more important. Also have to watch looking gaunt as I age!

I'm 5'6.75" lol, I weigh 15st exactly, 3 weeks ago I weighed 16st, so I'm thrilled. My aim is pre baby weight of 10st7lb, I lift weights, so that will be slim. I'm 53.

peony68 · 31/03/2021 17:13

9st 4 , I'm 53 years old .

chocolatecheesecake · 31/03/2021 17:32

11st and 5ft6. at 18 I weighed 8 st 7lb having dieted hard to get to that point. in my 20s 9st 7lb to 10st was a standard weight for me, but it has crept up since having kids. I would like to get to 10st 7lb - in my dreams, 10st. Have gone from being a 10 in some shops, 12 in others to being a 12-14 Sad

29 and I'm 64kg and wear size 12. I gave birth just before lockdown and never ended up going back to work so I've been eating the same as when I was active, but not as much opportunity to work it off! I'm fine with the rest of my body but my stomach can do with some shrinking Grin

BurbageBrook · 31/03/2021 20:26

Funny how everyone's bodies are different. I hate getting above 9st5 or so as my face starts looking chubbier and I feel like my cheekbones disappear, but I think if i was built differently I would be more relaxed about being curvier. I certainly had bigger boobs when I got up to about 9st8 or so at university!
