What do you have too many of?

I have 28 house plants.

In my defence about 10 don't belong here (they're just here because they should be in another empty house).

Debts, dirty dishes that need washing, spam email in my inbox, ideas I don't have time for anymore.

sliceoflife · 16/03/2021 21:29

Teapots, about ten at last count.
Everyday ones, bone China ones, teapots that match mug sets, small one cup pots, antique picot ware pot, it’s probably nearer 12 now I think about it. Some I’ve bought, some I’ve inherited. Love a good charity shop bargain.

Bottles of wine (too many for the wine racks). Although presumably this is only temporary GrinWine

Headphones. About 10 pairs. I can hand-on-heart say I've never bought a pair of headphones in my life. Where the heck have they come from?!

PeterPanNeverLands · 16/03/2021 21:36

I own way too many scarfs

VintageStitchers · 16/03/2021 21:36

Too many houseplants? Impossible.
I've got 39 houseplants just in this room alone. Five of them over 10 feet tall. Grin

Booze. Bottles of vodka, red wine , gin, bourbon and malt whisky. We're not big drinkers but people tend to buy us them. Probably have half a dozen large bottles of various vodkas and at least 4 bottles of single malt plus random others. Not sure what to do with them - I'd give them to a foodbank but I don't think they take booze. I usually slip a couple onto the school bottle stall when the chance comes up but don't seem to make a dent in it...

Aurelia1313 · 16/03/2021 21:38

Tea sets/glassware (I love both) and craft stuff. Also extra pounds lol Feeling that one!

huggzy · 16/03/2021 21:38

Plastic IKEA laundry baskets. I think I have ten.

Everything. Books, towels, roasting tins, pillows, socks, ramekins, old phones and electrical leads. DH is a hoarder and although I'm not, I'm just as bad, because I never get around to having a clear out of the stuff I long to be rid of.

Clocks. Clocks everywhere, many wind up or chain driven. Clocks with chimes, clocks that make sounds, all slightly different times. Never in sync. I think we have 25 or so. Funny thing is, right after they bong and chime and make noises, I have to look to see what time it is, because I never hear them anymore!

VintageStitchers · 16/03/2021 22:01

Rubber plant tree, Yucca, Dracaena, Philodendron, various orchids, spider plants, cactus, goose foot etc. Most of them started off small but have grown and thrived within the last 5 years.

I had a beautiful Strelitzia I had been growing for years that had flowered, but had to leave it behind when we moved house 6 years ago as everything was going into storage. I haven't replaced it yet.Sad
