Does anyone else think that the Harry & Meghan show isn't going to be that explosive?

I really doubt that loads of dirt will be raked, or muck spread. I'm guessing that there will be a few "it was hard to speak" type complaints, which the media will blow up, but that it's not actually going to be as exciting as we're all being led to believe?

Wouldn't it be a glorious plot twist if Thomas Markle ripped Piers Morgan a new one for being a vile cunt to his daughter

That would be fab except he will stay quiet & explain his hurt & tmw people will say well look how she treated her father! 🙄

@PicsInRed

Surely re: mental health if MM you'd enlist and have the best mental health professional privately on Zoom etc within the day?

The palace said it would be a bad look to go outside the fanily so told them to keep it secret.

Yet they allowed Harry and William to see a counsellor for years? Since when has royal medical info ever leaked? If leaking medical info was in any way prevalent we would have heard all the info about Archie’s birth by now. I’m sure they have the money to pay for a top psychologist who would act with complete discretion. After all, if they didn’t, their career would be over.

However the prospect of Meghan having a public meltdown like Britney Spears would be a lot more possible, and a lot worse.

I don’t buy it.

Jellykat · 08/03/2021 19:57

I wont be watching..
Imo if they want to be left alone by the press and media then they should move on and get on with their lives quietly.. I'm afraid i've always thought Meghan is highly ambitious and knows exactly how to work it. What is the point of this programme?

I predict he demands Meghan give him some of the Netflix money. He's been having frothing green eyes nightmares about that money, guaranteed. Grin

I would love for him to realise he'd been played by the media and probably the palace, and apologise to his daughter, and they reconcile to the psychological benefit of both, but sadly it seems quite unlikely at this point.

Wasn't Diana seeing a mental health professional connected to Charles (apologies if that's not correct, this is from the darkest vestiges of my memories of newspapers at the time!)?

If so, that doesn't seem very "outside the family".

willibald · 08/03/2021 20:13

I don't buy any of it, either.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/03/2021 20:13

There are a number of inconsistencies already

Which is why it's a bit puzzling to see folk treat the various claims as if they were handed down from Moses

As so often with allegations - especially scattergun and unattributable ones - it's sometimes best to wait until substance has been provided before leaping to conclusions

hopeishere · 08/03/2021 20:16

Hopefully now they've had their say and feel they can move on.

Diana supposedly had several therapists. There was one who Charles brought in to help her. However, after she saw him a handful of times he ended up becoming Charles’ therapist instead.
Practicalprat · 08/03/2021 20:19

Let’s face it they can say what they like, why does everyone believe what’s coming out of their mouths. They know full well there is no way the Royal Family are going to start replying to any of it or try to explain. This is one side of an elaborate story me thinks.don’t tell me MM couldn’t have got help, and if H was so incensed by it why didn’t he play the dutiful husband and GET her some. The cynic in me thinks they needed a few shit bombs to take the pressure off of the bullying inquiry.Pretty sure they aren’t going to gain fans after this.

Oldbutstillgotit · 08/03/2021 20:21

Does anyone still believe that Harry will appear at the unveiling of Diana’s statue ?

I genuinely don't see how he could possibly think after everything he and Meghan have just said it would be a good idea. I sincerely hope he stays home especially given they are imminently due another baby.

They brought psychiatrists and therapists to Diana at Balmoral while she was still on honeymoon.

I think he will be a distraction (in a negative way) if he does attend unless something drastically changes. Will he even be welcome, no matter what he claims to the contrary?
SophieB100 · 08/03/2021 20:36

The only winner in all of this, is Oprah.

I know they haven’t said how far along Meghan is but the unveiling is beginning of July, 4 months from now. She’ll surely be either very pregnant or they’ll have a newborn. I doubt he’ll come for that reason alone, let alone anything else.

Yes she was. She saw all sorts of people, completely unhindered.
GoLightlyontheEarth · 08/03/2021 20:40

No they didn’t. That’s absolute nonsense.

Fucking Christ, it's worse than I even remembered it. She couldn't even have her own mental health professionals?

What is wrong with these people?

And women of colour who can share their experiences of both sexism and racism

I was surprised but I think it’s documented. Let me look.
