Weighed myself 1st time in a year

I've just weighed myself for the 1st time in a year. I've gone from 250lb (17 stone) to 140lb (10 stone). I knew my clothes where getting baggy but that's something else.

I'm sorry I don't mean this to be nasty/braggy I'm just in shock.

Have you been trying to lose weight?

RickiTarr · 27/02/2021 19:10

It came as a shock that you’d lost 7 stone?

All you had noticed were your clothes “getting baggy”?

ConfusedHmm

justletmeadoreyou · 27/02/2021 19:11

Well done!

Although I imagine your clothes must have been more than a ‘bit baggy’ surely?!

RickiTarr · 27/02/2021 19:12

Maybe you’ve been washing too much and gradually dissolving? What substance are you made of?

OverTheRainbow88 · 27/02/2021 19:13

Fabulous news. Congratulations

IstandwithJackieWeaver · 27/02/2021 19:13

Well that's great if you've changed something in order to lose weight. If you have done nothing different and lost that weight you should see your GP.

MatildaStoker · 27/02/2021 19:14

PickAChew · 27/02/2021 19:14

How did your trousers stay up?

LordOfTheOnionRings · 27/02/2021 19:15

If you've not been trying to lose weight please call your GP.

If you have - congrats!

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 27/02/2021 19:17

If I lost seven stone my clothes would be more than ‘a little baggy’ Confused

DeborahHarry · 27/02/2021 19:18

Presumably you've had to buy a whole new wardrobe at least 3 times over?

RickiTarr · 27/02/2021 19:20

Yeah, I’d think if one had gone from 17 stone to 10 stone in a year, you’d have been literally walking out of your clothes since late last year at the latest.
MyGazeboisLeaking · 27/02/2021 19:21

Tell us more, OP. - that's brilliant (if you were aiming to lose weight?).

Namechangeforthewin · 27/02/2021 19:22

Sorry yes trying to loose weight. But also had some depression so I bet that helped some. Yeah I've always worn my clothes baggy plus been living I pjs for most of the year.

Wow, that's a lot to lose without noticing!

I went from 18 to 11st in 18 months and had to buy 2/3 sets of clothes in that time as everything was literally hanging off of me.

Like onesies?

Maybe that’s a dieting hack you’ve hit on there.

JackieWeaverFever · 27/02/2021 19:26

If you were on a diet thats great!

Otherwise very worrying. I would be booking a doctor appointment asap.

Workinghardeveryday · 27/02/2021 19:28

Good for you!!! Think of all the lovely new clothes you can buy 😁. Bet you feel like a million dollars 😁

JackieWeaverFever · 27/02/2021 19:30

Oh cross post! Congrats....

I am the opposite.
I keep convincing myself that having lost 7lbs my size 10 dresses should fit and then am stunned/amazed they don't and I can still only get it slightly more than halfway up one leg Blush

speakout · 27/02/2021 19:30

I am glad you are happy.

I haven't weighed myself for 15 years
I have no idea of my weight.
I do know that I still fit comfortably into size 10 jeans, and I feel strong and healthy. I could be 8 stones or 10 stones. No idea.

Namechangeforthewin · 27/02/2021 19:34

Yes onsies OH makes fun of my onsie collection. I'm going to dig out a pair of trousers and see just how baggy they are.

Honsetly I haven't even looked in a mirror since god knows when either

In which case, brilliant, well done you 👏

I’ve been living in baggies for the past year too. Unfortunately, my baggies have become less so 😁

Namechangeforthewin · 27/02/2021 19:39

I've always been on the heavier side of things my side of the family are all over weight bar I think 1 person. Is it completely selfish that I can't wait to meet people again feeling a lot more confident now. Still think I could lose a bit more. I'm quite short but happy where I am atm.
