Weighed myself 1st time in a year

I've just weighed myself for the 1st time in a year. I've gone from 250lb (17 stone) to 140lb (10 stone). I knew my clothes where getting baggy but that's something else.

I'm sorry I don't mean this to be nasty/braggy I'm just in shock.

When I've got the kids to bed I'm going to take a pic of me in my size 18 pj bottoms and post it. Maybe the tumble dryer has shrunk them ??
You were in size 18 at just shy of 18 stone?!!

You must be TALL!!!

Either that or the PJs are stretchy as feck!!!!

I lost 5 stone once (and I am tall, 5 feet 9). After the 5 stone weight loss I could have fitted into my 'fat' jeans twice over. Whether you have lived in onesies all year or not - you can't have failed to notice a 7 stone reduction before now. Unless your 6 feet 3, this is a massive loss

Honestly if this is real then that's amazing and well done on such an achievement!

But I'm 5'9" weigh 13 stone and size 16/18. I can't imagine someone shirt at 18 stone also being a size 18??

14 stone and I'm a 14 on bottom and 16 on top

Age 24: 18 stone
Age 25: 10 stone

So, when did you last weight 10 stone? Because for someone to be that weight aged 24 isn’t a slow slope to obesity. It’s a lifelong ailment.

Whatever ailment she had causing her obesity is gone! This is excellent news

I think some people are being really harsh. OP has said she was trying to lose weight. She obviously knew it was coming off, she just didn't know how much. And she sounds like she has really low self esteem and a not great self image, to be avoiding looking at herself in the way that she has, so there's no need for snide comments.

Did yous see the pics though? Honestly it was an addiction to chocolate I would happily eat a whole bar of the big 300g galaxy chocolate and then maybe a Mars bar too. And a huge addiction of coffee about 10 cups a day with loads of milk. I would eat huge portions of dinner too. I had a migraine that made me loose the feeling in the left side of my body thought I was having a stroke. Told to eat less chocolate and cut out caffine. It put me right off I never want to experience it again. I've been doing some positive thinking work and had a bit of cbt. Dont feel depressed anymore either and I'm sleeping a hell of a lot better too.

We’ve had a thread today about breastfeeding hedgehogs that are tassels and another about recruiting the NDN’s DH as a “cuddle buddy”.

I was just assuming it was wacky week on MN.
