Weighed myself 1st time in a year

I've just weighed myself for the 1st time in a year. I've gone from 250lb (17 stone) to 140lb (10 stone). I knew my clothes where getting baggy but that's something else.

I'm sorry I don't mean this to be nasty/braggy I'm just in shock.

You'll need a whole new wardrobe Smile

How exciting, go you!

ktp100 · 27/02/2021 19:56

Sorry if I'm wrong but this sounds like absolute bullshit.

You're saying you lost just under 100 pounds without noticing?!

Just WTF, really.

ktp100 · 27/02/2021 20:00

250lb is pretty much 18st, not 17. If you really were 250lb you've lost over 100lb.

And are wearing the same clothes.

Fuck knows what. Something with a belt, I'd expect!!

Furrybootsyecomfy · 27/02/2021 20:02

I’ve lost 5 1/2 stone in 15 months and could barely keep myself in clothes. The change in my body was almost Cronenberg-esque, I would double take at my own thighs, amazed that they were mine.

Well done, OP, getting to a lower BMI has been a positive thing in my life, personally. That being said, it’s probably worth thinking about how you can lose that amount of weight and not really notice, and why you haven’t really looked at yourself for a year.

Doomsdayiscoming · 27/02/2021 20:05

You must be hungry! Here’s a Biscuit

ParkheadParadise · 27/02/2021 20:09

Aye right

Your trousers would be falling down by your arse constantly

sanfranfibber · 27/02/2021 20:10

110 pounds would be about 6 or 7 dress sizes depending on height. Like going from a 22 to a 10z So I think even your elastic clothes would have fallen down. Plus you'd likely have huge loose skin.

caringcarer · 27/02/2021 20:13

Hope you keep the lbs off OP and soon when shops open you can go and buy new clothes.

Lochmorlich · 27/02/2021 20:16

Well done OP.
That’s quite an achievement.

WellIWasInTheNeighbourhoo · 27/02/2021 20:23

Oh piss off with your humble bragging Grin
Unless you have serious illness causing all that unintended weight loss. In which case I'm terribly sorry & please see a doctor Thanks

Namechangeforthewin · 27/02/2021 20:27

Yep don't like looking at myself confidence is well at rock bottom. I'm never naked for long. Been wearing onsies for the best part of year. Shopping delivered. I only have one mirror in the house and it's in dds bedroom. I have loads of loose skin mainly on my stomach and a bit on my arms. Does it help that I'm 25? So a bit of elastic left yet.

I'm sorry but I don't believe that someone who's making a concerted effort to lose weight - to the extend that they drop seven stone - wouldn't have been sufficiently curious to step on the scales at some point over the last 12 months.

And it's lose weight, not loose, FFS!

DianaT1969 · 27/02/2021 20:35

Are the family you live with vision-impaired?
Your DH didn't notice his wife lost 7st? You haven't been out of the house for walks in normal clothes?
I think this a half-time wind up. But a good one. It gives me hope I'll drop 2 stone by Monday without noticing. 👍

MysweetAudrina · 27/02/2021 20:37

I lost 2st and all my pyjamas just kept falling down when I walked from the bed to the en-suite.

Lumene · 27/02/2021 20:38

Have you made drastic and consist changes to diet and/or lifestyle in trying to lose?

If not I would definitely get a check with GP as a lot of weight loss can be a flag for some specific things that are much more manageable/treatable if caught earlier rather than later.

Assuming all is ok though congrats. And any tips?

Squashbanana125 · 27/02/2021 20:39

Really? so your trousers or pj bottoms you wore when you was a 18 stone now fit you are 10 stone? Hmmm
I mean fantastic but I can’t see this myself. Ofcourse you knew. You see yourself in the shower or bath everyday.

Loopyloututu2 · 27/02/2021 20:40

It sounds like you’ve been depressed and are slowly coming out of your cocoon OP? I hope this is the start of better times for you, start with treating yourself to some new clothes!

Namechangeforthewin · 27/02/2021 20:40

I didn't weigh myself because if I put on even a lb I would've thought fuck it and ate another pack of biscuits. OH says he dosent care what size I am. When I've asked him I get told you look fine.... nothing else

JayAlfredPrufrock · 27/02/2021 20:41

That’s incredible

WouldstrokeTomHardy · 27/02/2021 20:42

Congratulations OP

LemonMeringueThreePointOneFour · 27/02/2021 20:42

@JayAlfredPrufrock

That’s incredible
Literally!
Namechangeforthewin · 27/02/2021 20:43

When I've got the kids to bed I'm going to take a pic of me in my size 18 pj bottoms and post it. Maybe the tumble dryer has shrunk them ??
