What age did you or your dd start to shave legs?

My dd is 13 and is blissfully un bothered by them at present. Just wondering though what age you think they start.. Not that I'm going to suggest anything before she does

Dd1 started doing hers at 11 and dd2 is 11 now but hasn't asked yet. I decided to let them at whatever age they ask.

I was in primary 7, so about 11. I’d never been bothered until some of the girls were talking about it in PE and I suddenly became very conscious of my hairy legs.

I was 9. Stole my mums razor after a boy in my class shouted in front of the class about how hairy my legs were.

I'm pretty sure she knows. My mum thought I didn't care ar 13 but I was secretly mortified and too embarrassed to even talk about it.

I was 12, like a PP I heard some girls in school talking about someone else and got paranoid so shaved my own.

Dd was about 11ish

I was 15 before I was allowed to shave my legs and I was mortified and would wear jeans even in 30 degree heat.

Quite young, i think i was 7. I have very thick dark hair and my legs were very noticeably hairy by that age, and i used to do swimming several times a week so was very self conscious about it!

Think I was about 12 - DD no idea ( now 19)

I was around 12 I think.
My dd1 is 13 and doesn’t shave hers yet.

I had to shave legs and under arms from 10, I was 3rd year junior school. Really dark hair that kids laughed at me about.

12yr DD has not inherited my dark hair and still doesn't need (or want) to shave yet . I've told her to let me know if she wants to remove it and I'll sort it out.

9.....her hairs were coming through her tights and leggings and she was so self conscious. She also started periods at 10. We started with veet and she's now at 13, shaving.

I didn't start until I was 16 - DD is 12 and not interested and I'm rather surprised at the number of mums I know who seem to want to proactively advise their daughters at that same age about how to shave their legs, which makes me think 'Just leave it to her!'

The day my mum died when I was just about to turn 13.

I we mercilessly bullied from the age of 9. Secondary school was hell, I've got very dark leg hair.

She wouldn't let me. There was no discussion. I never asked. I just knew it was one of the forbidden things, like bras abs and anything to do with puberty.

On the day she died I nicked one of my dads razors. He never noticed.

I have two little dds. I'll make sure they shave theirs after what I went through.

I was 14, I nicked my mums razor and did it. I was so self conscious of my leg hair especially as all the girls already did it. When my DM noticed she went nuts. I still remember it.

I remember vividly being so embarrassed about my un-shaved legs for ages (probably longer than I imagined) at around 13/14. I remember being in a lesson at school and someone mentioned shaving legs and I decided that night I was going to shave them.

I was in year 5 so I guess 10. I have very thick dark hair and it was very obvious. I inherited my mum's thick dark hair so she understood why I wanted to shave my legs. I started off with hair removal cream and then started shaving my legs myself in about year 7 I think.
Dd is only 3 so got a while before she will want to. She's not as dark as me so it may not bother her

11 - but I did it badly and sporadically.

15 - regularly

My mum ordered me not to shave mine but i did it behind her back. My daughter asked me about it when she was about 13 i think, we talked about the options available and i got her a safety razor and explained the best way to use it.

I find that heartbreaking

I asked my mum at 11 & 12 she said no. I bought one on my way home from school at 13 and had no clue about shaving cream etc. I cut myself badly and was really sore.

I was 12. I remember my older brother telling me that I should start shaving them or I’d get teased, so I did. I was fine about it, but when my mum found out, she was really upset. My eldest DD is turning 12 soon, and she’s not interested/bothered as far as I’m aware.

I was 13 and terrified I’d be in trouble! I did it at school after being mercilessly teased for hair through tights. DD mentioned it when she was 7 and moved into a dance class with 10 year olds. She hasn’t mentioned it since. I’ll let her whenever she asks.
