I know this has been done before but it's Saturday morning and I'm BORED. Fucking bored. Also feeling sorry for myself because the cat has fallen out with me. Here are a few of my tame ones:

Line of Duty is shit
I don't like dogs
Snapped and farted wasn't funny
Baby showers are fucking hideous
Ross Geller is the best Friend 👌

@Lynora

Private schools should be abolished.
I agree

My children go to private school

I hate my hypocrisy but all principles out the window when comes to my children and eduction

LaylaRawlings · 21/02/2021 17:50

@Chewingle

** Some people who are desperate for their kids to go back to school are in part desperate because they can’t handle their own kids behaviour.**

@LaylaRawlings

Mine are older so no issue but that difficult behaviour will surely in many cases be because of lockdown and not at school and at home all day and home schooled. So going back to school will be a remedy

This is a thread about voicing unpopular opinions, not for you to have a go if you disagree with those opinions.
FoxyTheFox · 21/02/2021 17:53

If someone is spouting an opinion then they should expect it to be challenged if others don't agree with it.

Chewingle · 21/02/2021 17:57

@LaylaRawlings
Fair point

I reckon you’ve just said the most unpopular opinion on the thread!
MirandaWestsNewBFF · 21/02/2021 18:52

Reality TV of any sort isn’t fun escapism, it’s cheap and glib at best and exploitative at worst.
Cosmetic surgery, even if non-invasive, is generally problematic and many women who have it aren’t made happy by it.
I like dogs but human visitors take priority over dogs who live in the household - so dogs don’t sit on the sofa if it means human visitors have to sit on the floor.
Takeaways are nice and aren’t automatically greasy.
Body weight is a complex issue and not usually linked to willpower but more to emotions, ability to self-regulate, etc.

Boris is not doing a good job. Though in fairness it has been better recently.

Unpopular opinion threads are horrible.

@AlisonParker1 utterly irrelevant and reported.

HTH Grin

Twiggywinkle13 · 21/02/2021 21:28

If you have ‘live, laugh, love’ or some other hideous quote on your wall, I will judge you. Ditto crushed velvet anything.

I am a trans ally and I think you should be able to be anyone you want but I also don’t think women’s rights should be shit on.

If you don’t iron your clothes, it makes me think you’re lazy. People think you can’t tell - you absolutely can tell.

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 21/02/2021 21:56

I thought Meghan and Harry's statement was fine and it was the palace statement which was unnecessarily bitchy.

I half think that we should have started vaccinating younger people first and then worked up to the elderly (after vaccinating everyone who is medically vulnerable) because it is younger people who are out working or who have kids in school (and are therefore indirectly mixing with lots of other families). But I feel guilty about this because old people need protection.

southeastdweller · 21/02/2021 22:03

Lockdown was the worst the worst decision any UK government has made for decades.

Keeley Hawes needs to stop acting for a while.

Bodyguard was mediocre.

People who binge watch long tv shows in a ridiculously short amount of time need to get lives.

I would shag Dominic Raab and probably Chris Hancock.

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 21/02/2021 22:14

TBF, pre lockdown, having a weekend free and being able to binge watch a box set was utterly delightful. Simply because it was such a rarity.
I'm soooo fed up of watching Netflix now!

BorderlineHappy · 21/02/2021 22:20

I like Ant and Dec.

ConkerBonkers · 21/02/2021 22:21

Lip fillers nearly always look obvious, artificial, and very unattractive. Even if you like yours, they do not look good.

no coat is worth the money if it costs £1000 or more.

The celebrity news on the daily mail website is pretty good, and reading it does not lead to the development of right wing views.

Retail in the high street has been dying a prolonged death for years. The only things to survive will be social spaces such as cafes and restaurants.

Doughnuts are not worth the calories, and krispy cremes are disgustingly sweet.

sarahphimanellahim · 21/02/2021 22:26

I don't like Victorian Houses and they don't have "character"

Maybe it's just the Victorian housing estate near me, but the houses are all identikit. They come in only 2 or 3 different styles.

Layout one:
Living room at front, hall and stairs to side, dining room behind (full width) followed by a half width galley kitchen and bathroom behind that. Large double bedroom at front of house, with two sets of windows, medium sized room and box at back.

Layout two:
Door straight into living room at front of house. stairs in middle going across width of house. dining room behind, then galley kitchen and bathroom.

They all sit there in identical rows, in identical streets. To me, it's the antithesis of character.

DoctorTwo · 21/02/2021 23:33

Count Arthur Strong is comedy genius, especially the TV show.

DoctorTwo · 21/02/2021 23:37

Decentralised cryptocurrencies like bitcoin are the future of money and those who own them will be the wealthy when the US Dollar, the UK Pound and other fiat currencies collapse.

We're nowhere near there, yet.
Jillypots · 22/02/2021 01:11

People should pay for their own children, and not have them if they can’t afford them (families affected by a sudden, unexpected change in fortunes, disability and tragedy are excepted - I would willing contribute to their well being)

Roast dinners - a lot of work and washing up for very little reward

Forfolkssake · 22/02/2021 01:15

"Hubby"
"Holibobs"
"Hun"

No.

People who share lost dog posts on their Facebook pages about dogs that are lost 400 miles from them.

Facebook in general: who cares?

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 22/02/2021 01:26
