How often have you been leaving the house?

Not a TAAT but inspired by another one!

How often have you been going out of the house over the past few weeks? And what's your situation wrt schooling / kids / work etc?

I work pt and have young kids (youngest is a baby, eldest mid-primary) and we go out every day otherwise I'd LOSE IT. Having thought about this, I realise that with the ice, DH isn't getting out for his usual morning cycles and so has spent all day every day Mon - Fri in the house for the last 2 weeks.

I thought they were for single people only.

They added a few more categories after December 2nd. You can have one if you have a baby (PND rates rose lots in 2020), a disabled child under 5, or are an adult carer. PP might have a baby or one of her parents may be disabled.

@Wtfdidwedo there's a list on Gov.Uk of who can form support bubbles which we follow. We had to cross check with Welsh guidance as well but luckily still permitted.

When friends of mine checked the childcare bubbles were not permitted in Wales, only England, so that's interesting thank you.

Just me and DP, no children to home-school.

WFH since March. I go for a walk most days, unless the weather is truly awful, often combined with going to the Tesco Express for bread/milk. We don’t have a car and have always had our main grocery shop delivered. Today was very exciting because I went to buy stamps, and then went out a second time to the postbox!

I’ve not seen anyone socially since this lockdown started but until December was going for lunch/coffee/hair/eyebrows etc.

I am currently working from home and have main shopping delivered every 2 weeks . DH does a top up shop maybe a couple of times a week.
I go out daily for a walk, sometimes with dog , sometimes without, and I go even if the weather is bad.
Occasionally I will go out for other things eg vets.

We leave the house twice a week to get click&collect orders and try to go for a walk at least once a day. DH is working from home full time, I don't work. DS1+2 are 5 and 4 and are homeschooled. DS3+4 are (twins) 7 months so I juggle entertaining/feeding/changing them with schooling the kids. I'm struggling.

Send help and gin please.

I'm wfh but I make sure I exercise outside several times a week - not every day, but at least three or four times. Ditto DH and the DC. I also go out once a week to the shops. That's it.

Every day - during the week to go to work in a special school and do the shopping, weekends are for walks. My MH wasn’t great during Lockdown 1 so I get a change of scenery every day, even if it’s just round the local streets.

Not every day, I'm running 3 times a week and otherwise will go out for walks with DC etc a few times. I'm wfh and school from home etc. Dh still going out to work.

I walk or run once a day, and take out my dd if she wants, (so basically if it’s nice). Very rarely shop.

Teaching assistant so I have been going out Monday to Friday to work as usual, plus I go out on Saturdays to help elderly neighbour.

The weather finally turned nicer where we are this weekend, so we took the dog out on the fields/in the woods near our house on Saturday, on Sunday we drove 10 minutes away to walk on the deserted golf courses and today I did a food shop. I’ll probably try to go out for a walk with the dog and toddler a couple more days this week, but I have to admit I’m often having to force myself...a weird feeling of being completely bored and wanting to do something and really being sort of nervous/unsure to leave the house some days. I’m forcing myself to do it though.

Monday - Friday I’m out at work.

Saturday I usually go shopping. Sunday I usually stay in although I usually pop to the corner shop for something or round to my parents to collect my roast (I haven’t got an oven at the moment & I also work in the same office as them Mon-Fro).

I walk everyday, unless the weather is really awful and shop twice a week, every few weeks I drive 20 mins to my parents to deliver any shopping they can't get.

Every day. Work in school so walk there and back. Weekends extended walk with dog and dh. We’ve been finishing early at school, so if the weather isn’t horrible take dog out again.

Work from home full time, I walk our dog every day and collect a click and collect shop once a week. I'm saving a fortune on petrol!

I rarely leave the house, about once a fortnight for shopping or running an essential errand.

I'm WFH FT, homeschooling and studying, I'm constantly tired and fed up.

Yes, we are in a bubble with my in laws because fil cares for mil who has severe dementia so he is allowed to bubble with us for support.

I’m vulnerable to covid, not officially shielding. Live alone.

I’ve left the house maybe 8 times this year. Two medical appts and the rest to get some fresh air. First I was ill (not covid), then one of my carers was diagnosed with covid and I had to self isolate. Add in the cold and ice making it tricky for my wheelchair and I’m basically at home.

Prior to covid I was never at home.

I take DD out most days for an hour.
Do a food click and collect once a week.

Usually every day for a walk but we haven’t been out for a few days because the weather has been wretched and I just can’t be bothered. The DC run around the garden and have a den kit they build or they play football/basketball so not concerned for them. Do feel like I’m going crazy though 😬
