Im devastated. Just watched a video that the kids took of me dancing

I was a proper raver in the 90s, glow sticks and all night raves. WTF happened. I was never a swayer. I was doing this weird thing with my arms arms. Feet rooted to the spot.

It's probably because you were self concious being videoed. Put some decent music on when you are alone and really go for it. I dance the best on my own

My girls laugh at my dancing because apparently I'm really girlie. I don't even care! Just dance.

Is this the ‘heavy jacket’ of motherhood? I looked like my bloody mother! I had a really good laugh at the video but then felt sad! Maybe my back fat is holding me back!

Don't know but a couple of years ago I saw footage of me mum dancing at a wedding to 90s dance in that moment I was 19 again. But clearly not 😳

I'd need to search for dancing with big boobs and big belly. I know exactly what you mean op. Weirdly I attribute my divorce for fkng up my dancing ability too. I keep saving dance tutorials on my phone but don't do anything about them. Seems odd to. I'd live to feel free again instead of stuck with a frumpy sway.

Seriously. How do we fix it? If we just get fit does that change how we dance? Enough to not look stupid.

You don’t fix it, you own it! Close your eyes and go for it, remembering that one day, your laughing children will mum and dad dance too. 😉
