I think the punchline was that she looked like Suzy Quatro's nan, not that she was trying to look like her in the first place.

On the thread where a DS was in trouble for commenting his teacher looked like an 8 bit game. He was accused of meaning that she looked like an 8 [out of 10] and a bit game.

One poster said something along the lines of “Tell her not to worry, DH says she’s only a 2 and not game at all!”

Years ago a poster was getting all angsty as she’d seen a teacher really shout at some misbehaving kids when they were queuing up to get into some place and that she thought it was damaging to the kids.

The general responses were “eh?”

And then someone replied

It must have been at least 10 years ago and it still makes me laugh.

Of course mnhq removed the thread, as they do with most interesting threads, but I had a huge chuckle about that.
