I don’t think I’ll ever hear of a baby Gary.

I know two adult Gary’s and both are in their 50’s now

Gordon, yeah, definitely. What a hideous name.

Wincher · 11/02/2021 23:50

My 7 year old insists that if he has a son one day he’s going to call him Nigel. I just can’t quite imagine holding my baby grandson Nigel...

SpringtimeBluebells · 11/02/2021 23:51

Kevin, Karen, Debbie, Gladys, .... Sharon Tracey Wayne

But then Stan freda, iris Ruby Alfred were so old.....Hmm ...now you see all of those on babies so the ones above may revive in a few years

I know a 7 year old Enid.

SwimmingOnEggshells · 12/02/2021 08:09

I know a young Myra, aged 3. I live in Ireland and Myra Hindley wouldn't be as well known here. I also don't think her generation will associate the name with Hindley, particularly here. I do hope she's not plagued with comments about her name her whole life because it's actually a very pretty name.

Minty82 · 12/02/2021 08:12

Oh I know a few little Beatrices and Connies, and a two-year-old Agnes. And 6-year-old DS is at school with a Winifred (Winnie).

Snog · 12/02/2021 08:21

Boris

MNOverinvestor · 12/02/2021 08:24

I don’t know any young Pauls and it’s a fab name.

trevthecat · 12/02/2021 08:31

I know 5 Gary's, youngest is early 30's. I also know of an Ian, he's about 3 years old. I always think names come round in circles, usually as grand or great grand parents die. Like Elsie, Archie, Frank, Alfie, lily, loads of them now.

monkeywrench · 12/02/2021 09:02

I am in Germany and agree, Colin and Pauline are pretty popular here, and I also know a Fanny, but of course it doesn't have the alternate meaning here so it's fine, but I am pretty sure no one here would call their daughter Muschi ( same meaning more or less)

Someone I know here has just had a baby boy and called him Ludwig and I was shocked by that tbh!!

covetingthepreciousthings · 12/02/2021 09:18

Are there many baby Natalie's these days? It seemed to be one of the top names when I was in primary in the 90s but seems to have died out a bit now.
