Have you sent anyone a gift of brownies through the post and has a good experience? I have googled and found plenty but would rather go by actual recommendations from someone who has used the company. TIA.

Gimme brownies & little bee bakes 😋 both fab small businesses!

nordica · 07/02/2021 17:55

Hetty's Kitchen are amazing.

SunshineCake · 07/02/2021 18:01

I forgot to say I need vegan ones as my friend is a vegetarian and I won't be making themselves. I also would really like to support a small business, someone who is struggling because of the pandemic or even a mumsnetter who has a brownie business. Thanks again.

Are they vegan? I’m veggie and wouldn’t want vegan.......

SunshineCake · 07/02/2021 18:03

Seems like Gower is the current favourite.

Off to start looking now. Thanks again.

A Kind Mama Bakery is lovely for vegan brownies and blondies, it's a one person run small business.

Each time I see this thread title in 'Active Convos', I just keep visualising 7 - 10 yr old girls from the Guide Association Grin

Sorry, I'll get my coat Blush

Blush. Assuming they just don't eat meat or fish. Oops. They probably do drink milk and eat butter.

The best brownies I've ever eaten were from here: www.greatgranola.co.uk/shop?page=2
If you want to treat yourself, they are incredible. They arent gift wrapped, so may not be ideal for a gift, but bloody perfect to stuff your own face with.

FrauleinF · 07/02/2021 18:13

More cookies than brownies, but these guys sell amazing brookies (brownie/cookie hybrid) and brookie pies (like the previous, but with fillings!)

Ladies who have had brownies i the post how are they packaged?

In a box wrapped in paper or in sealed plastic?

Vegetarians eat eggs and dairy.

Vegans don’t.

Vegetarians don’t deserve to be lumped in with vegans all the time. Not all of us like vegan food. Wink

Bad Brownies, oh my goodness they were amazing. I usually find brownies a bit of a disappointment but these were absolute heaven.

Gower cottage brownies are wrapped in paper, tied with string, and in a cardboard box
chickychicchic · 07/02/2021 19:26

Thanks helpful for when I send gifts x

SunshineCake · 07/02/2021 20:19

I don't know if they are vegan, I know they are vegetarian so I was trying to make sure I didn't waste my money if they don't have dairy.

SingingLoud · 08/02/2021 19:39

Their brownies are ok tho.

Mayaswellnow2323 · 08/02/2021 19:40

I use www.hibisbakeaway.co.uk based in Manchester to send brownies to relatives as gifts. Had great feedback!

Mayaswellnow2323 · 08/02/2021 19:43

chickychicchic - the ones I ordered for myself were in a brown box wrapped in paper. They were very moist and froze well
