Have you sent anyone a gift of brownies through the post and has a good experience? I have googled and found plenty but would rather go by actual recommendations from someone who has used the company. TIA.

Right. I've ordered Gower. Based on this thread.

@poppet31

I used this company.

www.bigbearblondies.com/ - small business husband and wife team and all products completely gluten free. Tasted amazing!

I live locally to this company and they’ve got us through lockdown!

I count myself as highly knowledgeable when it comes to chocolate brownies, with a lot of experience in testing and tasting, and I can honestly say Gower Cottage are some of the best I have ever had

Ginfordinner · 07/02/2021 16:29

Buy some with a long use by date on them as the post in many areas is shocking at the moment. We are getting post about once a week right now due to covid.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 07/02/2021 16:30

Great Bakes are fab, I’ve sent them to DD at uni a few times and they all rave about them.

CherryRoulade · 07/02/2021 16:31

I always make my own and post them when our son or one of his friends we know well is deployed overseas. Brownies travel well and sometimes take a fortnight to reach the recipient but are still fine. Ginger cake does OK too.

Skyr2 · 07/02/2021 16:35

I have used Great Bakes before for brownies for a Birthday when I posted to uni and they were good and enjoyed by everyone.

missrabbitismyhero · 07/02/2021 16:39

I've used a company called Chocolate dino 4 or 5 times now, and all recipients have loved them. www.chocolatedinocompany.co.uk/
Wish someone would send me some now!

HermioneWeasley · 07/02/2021 16:44

The Yummy Yank - everyone I’ve sent them to loves them. And the other bars are amazing too

Bad brownies are delicious and great customer service

CadiM · 07/02/2021 17:09

I received a gift this week from Bad Brownies so I can definitely recommend them too

prampushingdownthehighst · 07/02/2021 17:13

Can also recommend the brownie lady from Plymouth

C152 · 07/02/2021 17:14

I haven't sent brownies, but someone sent me cupcakes from Lola's cupcakes, which were delicious.

SoupDragon · 07/02/2021 17:15

I have but I made my own and posted them to DSs. Apparently it was a very good experience (although DS1 claimed it looked like I'd sent him a package of drugs due to how the box was wrapped)

MaverickDanger · 07/02/2021 17:17

We’ve been sent about 5 different companies’ brownies over the past month (we have a newborn) and Gower are heads & shoulders above.

I’m going to send some to a friend who is due soon.

Arthien · 07/02/2021 17:45

Beeston Brownie every time in this house. Can mix and match or have all the same. The triple choc is a particular favourite 🤤

Nyctophyllia · 07/02/2021 17:46

Well this isn't the thread I thought it would be.
