Do you love or loathe the name Elhan for a boy???

Myself and husband are trying to pick a boys name but cannot agree on the name Elhan which I adore and is my only choice.
I'm due in 3 days, Can I have everyones honest opinion do you love it or hate it?

By the way its pronounced as elan, the h is silent!!!

I don’t think it matters if anyone else likes it or not. If your husband doesn’t like it then it’s no.

You should both like the name you choose.

I think the poor child will spend his entire life either correcting pronunciation for people who've seen his name written down, or correcting the spelling for people who've only heard his name. After he's convinced them that it is him they're looking for, not a woman called Ellen.

Sorry I would say “el-han” as I would assume it was a cultural name (Muslim?) and I wouldn’t want to mispronounce it. Call him Elan if that’s how you want it to be pronounced.

It's a no from me, he'll constantly be having to correct spellings and pronounciations. Too much like Ellen, Alan.

It sounds ok to me though. I'd neither love it or hate it.
