Hi
Myself and husband are trying to pick a boys name but cannot agree on the name Elhan which I adore and is my only choice.
I'm due in 3 days, Can I have everyones honest opinion do you love it or hate it?

You might also keep in mind that some ethnic names could make it more difficult for your child to get jobs when he grows up. Studies have shown (in the US) that job seekers with stereotypically 'Black' names on their CVs get fewer interviews than job seekers with names that are not ethnically 'marked'.

No , I really don’t like it , looks like Ethan one of my worst names , or sounds like Ellen , no your partner doesn’t like it so choose a great name together. Good luck ☘️

I love the name- our baby boy due at the end of April will be Elan (pronounced ee-lan) ☺️

I gave my DC unusual to pronounce and and spell names (well not for me but for other people Grin) and I always get irrationally pissed off when they are mispronounced or spelt incorrectly and they’re all almost adults now so I would think twice!

Ellen, Alan, Ethan confusion. Sounds made up. Awful. Jesus, imagine spending your life explaining, “no the ‘h” is silent, it’s pronounced like the girl's name Ellen.”

Call him Alan if you like the general sound of the name. Nowt wrong with being called Alan.
