If there is gaslighting, etc going on then I can't blame her for wanting to get in there first with the facts of what has happened.

Wife seems very needy and a little obsessed with him in interviews.
I imagine he's had his head turned and ego massaged but a fit young 20 something.

I used to be very active on the IMDb message boards when they were online years ago. Alice I recall used to check her own board and get threads deleted. She came across as a bit odd and intense if you ask me. She desperately wanted to be more famous as an actress. I didn't realise she was on social media. Maybe she is lapping up the public sympathy a bit. Her tweet appeared to want to paint Ioan in a bad light. Not fair when you have kids to bad mouth their father. Keep the quarrels between the couple.

We can’t say what’s happening in their marriage. No doubt mumsnet will believe the woman’s side with no doubt as they always do.

From what I have read in the past she was always very controlling of him.

Lots of weird misspelt posts.
Trying to get pics of her husband when he doesn’t want them etc.

Shame when people have public break ups though, being heartbroken can you make you do weird and desperate things. The initial split/ break up social media posts must have been done in the heat of the moment.

But that's not unusual at all, is it? Obviously ultimatum sounds strong, but 'I need to know if this is serious, as I want marriage and kids and the clock is ticking' is quite sensible, no?

Anyway, the rumour is he's left her for a chap.

I think it's quite sad. Wasn't she the secret actress in the Guardian many years ago? I always felt it was a proper love match and they went through a lot with IVF. But I suspect he will have a younger model on his arm in a few weeks like they all do.

A couple of years ago she shared a video of him watching a Wales rugby match in his underpants. Now if he'd shared a video of her in her underwear there'd have been an outcry.

She backed the wrong horse. She should have married Olivier Picasso and lived a life of luxury dripping in haute couture and welcome at every salon. No wonder she’s annoyed. I would be.

Unfollowed her on IG ages ago. She came across as seriously insecure in her marriage and incredibly desperate for approval. Wouldn't be surprised if she had some kind of addiction issue as well. She seems very unhappy.

I guess she reacted very badly at first then pulled herself together.

It's sad that everything is being played out in public. Going from being blindsided in the first tweet to mental abuse of over 6 months within 24 hours sounds like whatever is going on between them Alice needs some real down to earth support ASAP, I hope she gets it.

As to whether Ioan has found someone else, that's on his conscience but I do think it's possible that his time in the marriage was done and Alice can't accept that because there should be a "reason". Not being in love anymore doesn't feel like it explains anything...but at the same time it can be everything.

I hope they manage to conduct this in a way that doesn't impact on their daughters too negatively and out of the public eye. It's no one's business but their own.

It sounded to me like she wanted to get in there first and tell it how it was before an ‘amicable’ split was announced. They are in the public eye so a split would be made public knowledge and I don’t blame her.

I’d never heard of her before but had heard of him. DC used to love Fantastic Four.

While I’m sure she’s upset what she said about him leaving her and the girls is horrible. She’s basically said to her girls that her father is leaving them too and that they don’t know why. That sort of statement leaves young children wondering what they did wrong to cause their father to dislike them so much to leave them.

Of course he’s not leaving them but leaving their mother - she’s made what’s already an upsetting and confusing time worse for her little girls.

I'd like to hear his side of this.

Like most of the others she didn't state that until the case was ongoing against him and it looked like he's lose it.

But that's understandable.

It haven’t seen this but the end of a marriage is always sad. I don’t necessarily agree with airing dirty laundry in public but I can’t help but wonder if she has deliberately created this drama to find out exactly what is going on. The press will now be on the case and if there is another woman it will come out soon enough.

It’s between them of course but I am curious as to his version of events. I don’t blame him if he was raging about her Twitter outburst- I wouldn’t have wanted that either in his shoes. Years ago when I attempted to split up with my ex he raged at our 2 children who were only tiny at the time that “mummy doesn’t love us anymore, she wants to leave us”. He was/is abusive and did a lot of gaslighting including to our children. The damage runs deep. I hope their little girls are ok and they aren’t being too badly effected.

Well that of course is a reason.

And of course no reason is needed if things aren't working out.

Obviously you'd hope that some effort would be put in when there are kids involved, but if it's not working then it isn't.

Also she mentioned being "gaslit"-was that a reference to him?
