Sorry, The Chair. I get my definite articles in a muddle. Blush

Silkiechickscat · 14/02/2021 22:07

We also desperately want a day out Frownette as not had one since the summer. We had house renovations then some days out planned but all got cancelled with covid isolations for DS then it all shut down again from Boxing Day.

But chocolate or cheese really isn't an issue - I have chocolate cheesecake at the moment Grin I also tend to be going for both at the moment though suspect I will regret that later. DH is feeling a bit meh but better than before. I am so sleepy now, my sleep is all over the place.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 14/02/2021 22:33

My audible app had an update and no longer works offline.
So no books for me at the moment. I am slightly un-calm!

My last day out was April last year.

MissConductUS · 14/02/2021 22:40

Welcome, @MadameTuffington, and thanks for your house pet news. We love pet pictures on this thread if you care to post one.

Math, it's bitter cold here too. What brand of sausages did you get on sale?

I'm glad your DH is feeling a bit better tonight @Silkiechickscat
Hope everyone had an enjoyable valentines- my present from DP hasn't arrived yet- funnily enough my Christmas present was late as well..
I got a lovely handmade card from my DS..
@Squirrel26 the Baileys worked wonders for your ability to get some serious cleaning done!
@Sunbird24 the very best of luck for your baby x

Silkiechickscat · 14/02/2021 23:03

That sounds like your DH must use the same delivery service as my DH for presents halfpast, one reserved only for men. Grin Though tbf he's normally very good at Valentines and Mothers Day its Christmas and birthdays and this Valentines he's been ill.

Frownette · 15/02/2021 06:01

Is DH ok? Must be exhausting for him having two women on the go (you and Silkiecat Wink). To be fair, she's quite a slinky little number, I can see the appeal. As long as you can coexist. Share the love.

I'm going to send back the computer and ask for something more practical. L3 is driving me slightly crackers so I'm going to stay with a friend next month. Why do I feel like a criminal even typing that? It's amazing the impact a lockdown has on your psyche.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 15/02/2021 06:22

Good morning, a good day (or night) to you all.

Frownette · 15/02/2021 06:30

Good morning :) Think it's approx 7.30am there?

Frownette · 15/02/2021 07:05

Sunshine...? We're predicted sunshine? Met office.

I thought it was a bit sweltering but thought I'd gone into the wrong continent and we'd jacked the heating up too much. So much for storm Darcy.

mathanxiety · 15/02/2021 07:08

Weather forecast has us getting another foot of snow between 3am Monday and noon Tuesday.

My boots only go up to mid calf.

Frownette · 15/02/2021 07:09

No it's genuinely 9° here and we are predicted that elusive thing, sunshine

Dammit, where's my bikini? (throws away vitamin D pills)

Frownette · 15/02/2021 07:12

Oops apologies math. I got quite high on all the heat here. At least you can think with clarity in a frosty intelligence, right?
Silkiechickscat · 15/02/2021 07:20

DH seems OK today - I'm used to sharing him with Silkiecat
. Silkiecat says DH is hers but finds me useful when I remind DH of things Silkiecat needs then she blinks at me.

We reach 17C by Sunday Shock and 14C today though most of week is rain Sad though as there's nothing to do doesn't make any difference. It will be nicer for the silkies though.

Glad you have a friend to stay with Frownette, L3 is by far the hardest I think as there's no end date and nothing open at all but hopefully that will change soon.

MaidEdithofAragon · 15/02/2021 07:21

Morning. I've fed the cat and the dog and made some tea. I'm off work today and plan to tidy the spare room which has become a dumping ground.

LadyPenelope68 · 15/02/2021 07:28

Morning everyone and hello to you all - my first post on this thread. What a wonderfully mundane and calm thread, can’t believe I’ve not seen it before.

Im a teacher and as it’s half term I’m taking the opportunity to sit in bed abs drink coffee for as long as I want this morning.

Spudlet · 15/02/2021 07:52

Welcome @LadyPenelope68 - enjoy that coffee!

I have got up first with DS today as DH very heroically sacrificed his Sunday lie-in for me yesterday. So I am on the sofa having a post-breakfast Spuddog cuddle now. Almost all of our snow has vanished overnight, which both ddog and DS are slightly disappointed about - I’m glad it’s warmer but also slightly peeved at the inevitable return of the endless mud. This is the one time of year when I slightly rue moving to somewhere with no pavements 😖

halfpasteleven · 15/02/2021 07:53

I have to give him credit really @Silkiechickscat as he is usually very good as well for presents and for remembering dates.

I have a blood test at 9 so need to get up soon but I'm lying in bed with DP asleep beside me and DD asleep on the other side in her cot.
I can hear the rain outside - I really don't want to get up yet, but I can also hear birdsong which is lovely.

Therainisback · 15/02/2021 07:53

Morning all[smile
It's really foggy here. My eyesight is terrible when I first wake up for about half an hour (it's not brilliant at the best of times) but this is a recent development. I assume it's another symptom of old middle age.
I'm at work until 12 then minding my gorgeous little granddaughter.
I had a weird nightmare about being in a plane with a little barrage balloon buzzing round trying to make us crash. Dreams are so odd.

Frownette · 15/02/2021 08:03

Yay I have permission from the police. I can travel to see friend anytime I want.

Spudlet · 15/02/2021 08:06

DS has taken the principle of positive reinforcement very much to heart and now calls everyone a good boy / girl at regular intervals. He told the optician who fitted his new glasses that he (the optician) was a good boy, and is currently telling DH that he too is a very good boy for putting some water into his little teapot for pouring. He has also told me - as in ‘Mummy! Daddy is a good boy!’ Grin

HelenaJustina · 15/02/2021 09:06

That is cute @Spudlet I’d quite like someone to call me a good girl.
So much milder here than yesterday, I’m slightly put out. Have had lazy coffee in bed, all 4DC are still in pyjamas making dens. Am off for a run before the shouting and carnage begins...

Oh my goodness, I've just checked the post count on this thread. Here's the new one:

Welcome, @MaidEdithofAragon and @ChairOfThePTA and thanks for sharing your news!

I'm just out of the shower after 4o minutes on the bike and some weight lifting. It's a holiday here so I'm not quite sure what I'm up to today. The forecast calls for the dreaded "wintery mix" starting at noon for the rest of the day so if I go out it will have to be thing morning.
