Someone has posted a tiny bag of white powder through our letterbox!

Confused

Me and DH are freaking out a bit. At about 10pm we heard the letterbox go while we were watching TV but didn't immediately check it. We've just got up to head to bed and it's a tiny little ziplock bag (like 50p sized tiny) with white lumpy powder in it Hmm

We're going to have to call 111 in the morning arent we? Really freaked and going to struggle to sleep now!

What the actual fuck Confused

OP posts:

I know OP has already contacted the police, but the posts here are so stupid. Why would you “have fun” with unknown powder? You don’t know what it actually is. Also, why the hell would you leave drugs outside? That makes you look like you’re supplying and not trying to hide it. Animals could get to it too.

axile234 · 24/01/2021 01:05

All joking aside if it's real and been delivered there by mistake . They may return for it . And if you have not got it . You owe them . My partners son was hooked on this shit . And I've even had the pleasure of going to the dealers house to pay his debt . Before the big boys come to mine

Buttybach · 24/01/2021 01:13

It could be that someone has done a runner when being followed by the police and have panicked and posted their stash through a random letter box so they don't get done for possession.

I have been watching too much police interceptors on channel 5

BluePeterVag · 24/01/2021 01:14

We had a similar situation, but with weed. Had a woman from up the street who I recognise from the school run come and knock for it like she was picking up a Hermes parcel. Woman is mid 40s, professional. Weird thing was we hadn’t spotted it, as it was lying on our porch mat so I’m glad it was a Sunday and the post man hadn’t had occasion to see it.

PawPawNoodle · 24/01/2021 01:20

This thread is funny! OP they're not going to knock for it, is its a small bag there'll be £100 max of whatever it is and the dealer would just absorb thar cost. They won't risk being identified for the sake a small deal. Laughing at the 'variety of cocaine' too. One of your neighbours is going to be mighty disappointed.

You have 3 options;
A) keep the free surprise drugs for a crazy night in
B) call 101 and they might come round and take it to dispose of, or they might advise you to
C) chuck the contents down the sink and throw the bag away

MamaTookMyEyebrows · 24/01/2021 01:25

I would like to know more about the squirrels please.

eyesbiggerthanstomach · 24/01/2021 01:25

I can't believe some people are advising OP to leave them outside!

She would be seen as supplying, she could be reported, she doesn't know what the powder is and who knows who could get their hands on it and have some sort of reaction, it could blow off somewhere, animals could get to it...the list goes on!

Fatas · 24/01/2021 01:27

@PolPotNoodle anotherone for don’t throw it away. You have no idea how important that deal is to someone- either the person who it was destined for, all the dealer themselves. Better to be safe than sorry. Sleep well, but keep it just in case someone returns for it or someone else pops round for it.

user1481840227 · 24/01/2021 01:42

Stunned at the people suggesting you should leave it out on your doorstep. I'd be terrified that a child would get their hands on it!

Theonethatgotawayawayaway · 24/01/2021 01:48

Is it a very small amount? If it’s cocaine even a little costs a lot so I’d be tempted to hide it away somewhere safe In case someone comes back for it, there’s no point in bothering the police for a small amount. They wouldn’t even come out

Theonethatgotawayawayaway · 24/01/2021 01:50

Yes getting chased and just put it anywhere.
Maddison12 · 24/01/2021 02:08

Apparently this is very common now. You place the order via phone, bank details are texted to you, once you've done a bank transfer the 'stuff' is posted through your letter box. Even dealers don't want to catch covid 🤷‍♀️

Neededabreak · 24/01/2021 02:27

@sofiaaaaaa

Nice to know drug dealers offer contact-free delivery, taking the pandemic seriously I see! enjoy your night OPWink
Too funny.... oops.
FortunesFave · 24/01/2021 03:27
@Crinkle77 that wasn’t my point, in my experience older people aren’t as adept with tech to arrange this. This isn’t your standard drug deal
Yes it is. Dealing is done via websites and apps these days. You order, they deliver.

FortunesFave · 24/01/2021 03:28

The dealer won't knock as they have their money but the intended recipient might if they're desperate.
Frownette · 24/01/2021 03:29

Police are generally reasonable, they'd know it wasn't for you. Hope they take it off your hands soon, then you can forget about it. I'm not familiar with coke so no idea how much a small bag would be worth.

I think it would be the intended recipient who would be the most put out! They'll have to have a coffee instead, unless dealer makes amends.

Theshelfisboring · 24/01/2021 03:48

I'd probably leave it a few days and then if the intended recipient hasnt called for it I'd call 101 and ask them what I should do with it

GreenSlide · 24/01/2021 04:08

@notacooldad

Just flush it and forget about it Do not flush down the loo!! Personally I'd probably put it in a poly bag with a note saying ' nowt to do with m🤷‍♀️*" and use duct tape to stick it your front door!
Do you not think it might look a bit suspicious when everyone wakes up tomorrow and goes for their Sunday walks and sees OP has a bag of drugs taped to the front door?
PhilCornwall1 · 24/01/2021 04:15

I don't think the NHS are going to want the contents of the bag.

The Police might be interested though.

wowfudge · 24/01/2021 04:18

Can't believe how many people haven't read the OP's update.

PhilCornwall1 · 24/01/2021 04:24

Though it is very unlikely anyone will come asking for it. How do you imagine that conversation would go? er hi, I think I dropped off some Class A by mistake, it's for Joyce at number 32....

Probably just like that. Around where I am there are people who are thick enough to knock on the door and ask for it.

Especially the druggy twat that used to live behind us.

tolerable · 24/01/2021 04:46

contactless+5p forra bag..lol

tolerable · 24/01/2021 04:50

no you dont.they owe you not to call cops on spot.dont be ridiculous.no dealer is gonny try repo!!or payment..

tolerable · 24/01/2021 04:53

is it?..i find judgement bout as distateful as dog shite on my shoe

Frownette · 24/01/2021 05:01

@tolerable what on earth are you on about? OP owes whoever delivered it nothing. She has dealt with it as she saw fit.

She doesn't want it in her house, she has children.

You're making a judgement about OP, so bang goes your incoherent 'theory'...
