Confused

Me and DH are freaking out a bit. At about 10pm we heard the letterbox go while we were watching TV but didn't immediately check it. We've just got up to head to bed and it's a tiny little ziplock bag (like 50p sized tiny) with white lumpy powder in it Hmm

We're going to have to call 111 in the morning arent we? Really freaked and going to struggle to sleep now!

What the actual fuck Confused

@practicallyperfectwithprosecco

Joyce at number 32 is obviously finding homeschooling challenging
Dry January has a lot to answer for!!

People are ignorant of they think this goes on at the local council estate as I know of many middle class people who live in very nice areas who do this most weekends. I know a director of a company, fireman and girlfriend, social worker and a solicitor. Wasn’t it called a rich mans drug years ago?

CaptainMyCaptain · 24/01/2021 09:18

@Goodbye2020Hello2021

glassescase 'This sort of behaviour'? It's a bit of drugs. Much like the alcohol so many happily chug down

One is illegal the other is not.
Although I agree in principle. People forget that that alcohol is a drug.

Alcohol tends not to involve gang warfare and slavery.
cdtaylornats · 24/01/2021 09:19

Tell the police.

Goodbye2020Hello2021 · 24/01/2021 09:21

captain

Agree. glassescase disagrees not me.

WithinAForestDark · 24/01/2021 09:22

@cdtaylornats

Tell the police.
Gosh yes. Good idea. Wonder why nobody else thought of that!
PanamaPattie · 24/01/2021 09:24

Wow the amount of people who've not read my updates is staggering...!

  1. Yes I know I meant 101 as I've said multiple times, the posters who keep on about that are of course hilarious Hmm

  2. I'm not an idiot, I just don't want hassle I didn't ask for! Plus I'm Lawful Good

  3. I already called 101 last night and they're coming to collect it this morning, so so much for all the posters saying they won't care...!

Ahem. As you were Grin

Coke may be a favourite amongst the middle-classes but it’s an awful drug.

CherryValanc · 24/01/2021 09:30

Of all the odd comments on this thread I think my favourite was the possibility the OP might be at risk of being accused of being a dealer.

With that amount? Where she dealing? Lilliput?

If you pass on drugs, it’s a technical supply.

WeavingWandering · 24/01/2021 09:41

I moved into a new house once - lovely house but the old owners had left it a tip and the landlord refused to pay for cleaning. Found quite the little stash on the top of a cabinet while I was cleaning... popped it in the bin but always wondered if I’d done the right thing!

ShirleyPhallus · 24/01/2021 09:41

I am currently studying for my detectives exam so i know this is the case.

Grin excellent

Yes this was brilliant for me too. The comment about the OP having her house raided Grin
IsAnybodyListening · 24/01/2021 09:43

I'll be honest. I don't mind a cheeky spliff now and again, but I draw the line at coke. That said, what with WFH, home schooling and all the other bollocks at the moment, if someone popped a little baggy through my letterbox I would be tempted to snort the lot and crack on with my ironing.

UnityUnited · 24/01/2021 09:44

Same old mumsnet. Full of people trying to ridicule others.

alwaysataldi · 24/01/2021 09:45

That's a worry - I would be tempted to call the police - but you still have to live there - and if it is drugs - I would worry about repercussions from whoever posted it.
The are not likely to knock and ask for it - I would flush it down the toilet and forget about it.
It's an awful world we live in and the police do not have enough resources to help should you report

RLOU30 · 24/01/2021 09:46

PhilCornwall1 · 24/01/2021 09:50

Eh? There was enough resources to send 10 of them to break up a Zoom party!

EBearhug · 24/01/2021 09:55

Lilliput is part of Poole. South Coast port, affluent area - probably quite a market. Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 24/01/2021 09:56

Am I the only one when reading the OP initially thought that she was scared of anthrax or ricin powder?

BigMamaFratelli · 24/01/2021 09:56

IsAnybodyListening

I'm with you love!

Thats how you know you're a mum though - when your plan after you've had a couple of lines is to get the ironing done instead of dancing til dawnGrin
