Mine would be
(1) Philip Cairns, disappeared in 1986 from Dublin. He was 13

(2 )Trevor Deely, disappeared walking home from a Christmas party in 2000.

(3). Raonaid Murray murdered yards from her home. She was only 17.
Never been solved.

Suzy Lamplugh and Jill Dando both disappeared/died within a few roads of where I was living at the time so I'd very much like to know what really happened.
This probably makes me a top suspect, but I also lived close the the al-Hilli family at the time they were killed.

AsMuchUseAsAMarzipanDildo · 19/01/2021 17:48

The poor family killed in Annecy a few years ago.

Robbybobtail · 19/01/2021 17:52

Madeleine McCann
The one where the girls disappeared in the rainforest in (was it?) Columbia. I'd like to know how they got so lost and why they strayed from the path.
The White House farm murders - I know Jeremy Bamber was found guilty but I would like to know exactly what happened that night and the order of events.

Lisa Dorian - local NI case

Andrew Gosden
Claudia Lawrence
Katrice Lee

I would have said Madeleine McCann too, but I think the German police have probably solved that one, and we’ll know all the facts soon enough.

And I believe the police got the right man for the Jill Dando murder, so I don’t think of that as unsolved, but I doubt they’ll ever be a proper resolution.

Suzanne Morphew in Colorado last Spring
Jim Morrison

The Tamam shud case drives me mad, so weird.
The Isdal woman, would love to know who she was (great podcast on it from the bbc)
Madeline McCann.

I think those would be mine.

VainAbigail · 19/01/2021 18:03

Corrie McKeague - how did he just vanish?

April Jones - what did he do with her body?

MH370 - where is it?

Bairnsmum05 · 19/01/2021 18:08

3 year old wee boy Sandy Davidson missing from Ayrshire, Allan Bryant missing from glenrothes. His dad's posts on Facebook are heart breaking.

@Untangled87 I'm not sure the German police have the right person in the Madeleine McCann case. They seem to have no real proof that he was involved. That and the fact Hans Christian Wolter(?) seems to be trying to persuade the public into believing it. It's just weird. Even if the guy was guilty, surely the case has been skewed because of what Wolter said.

I thought they concluded Cory McKeague did climb into the refuse bin and was taken to the dump. The truck registered having a load of about 80kg in it, even though it was empty. I may have misread the last bit.

I also though they found Ben Needhams remains. I thought they were found in the footings of a house that was being built when he went missing.

Thepilotlightsgoneout · 19/01/2021 18:55

I thought Corrie McKeague was mostly solved. He went to sleep in the bin, which was then collected by the bin lorry. I know they didn’t find his body in the landfill but I don’t think that means the theory doesn’t hold up.

Thepilotlightsgoneout · 19/01/2021 18:55

Cross-post!

WineInTheWillows · 19/01/2021 18:58

The police think that about Corrie, but his family don't think it's correct.

roseyrose2020 · 19/01/2021 19:03

@WineInTheWillows

I just fell down a rabbit hole while clicking the Wikipedia link upthread about the Beaumont children. It's astonishing how many children were abducted/murdered in 60s and 70s Australia! And how many of those were unsolved.
It's awful isn't it. So so sad. I hate that there is so much evil in this world.
GirlCrush · 19/01/2021 19:03

@VainAbigail I think police found bone fragments of April in his fireplace. The house was bulldozed so gone forever. I feel so much for April’s family, awful case

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 19/01/2021 19:06

April Jones

Nora Quoirin

LadyEloise · 19/01/2021 19:14

I couldn't just list 3 Sad
Every night I pray for the relatives and friends of children who have been murdered and / or are missing.

SingingWaffleDoggy · 19/01/2021 19:16

The Delphi bridge murders- so sad and law enforcement definitely know more than they’re letting on. They have footage and audio and still no one has come forwards with info.
MM- like everyone else.
MH370- because of all the conspiracy theories. I want it to be something ‘normal’ and accidental despite it being so tragic so the families can get some closure

SingingWaffleDoggy · 19/01/2021 19:20

Oh, and Jeanette Tate.

Jetatyeovilaerodrome · 19/01/2021 19:21

MH370 - where is it?

At the bottom of a very, very large ocean Sad

Jetatyeovilaerodrome · 19/01/2021 19:22

Mine would be
Madeleine McCann
The Isdal Woman
The Beaumont Children

roseyrose2020 · 19/01/2021 19:26

There were two girls who went missing in Ealing in 1999 and 2000.
Elizabeth Chau (19) and Lola Shenkoya (27).
They both disappeared in the middle of the day.
I always felt their cases never got as much media attention as other cases because they didn't make a 'good' story. Both girls were from ethnic minorities.

I've remember seeing Elizabeth's parents handing out flyers about her disappearance on the 10th anniversary.

It must be so awful not knowing all this time 20 years later.
