Cabana bars... yes!!

OFAHmusical · 21/01/2021 20:44

About 7 years ago, Starbucks sold a hybrid muffin/doughnut thing called (I think) a duffin. Stupid name, amazing cake.

Cabana bars, a bit like bounty, but with both coconut and cherry.

Oh how I used to LOVE those! Very few people remember Grin[/quote]
@Bluesheep8, they were around in the mid seventies if I remember correctly 🍒 🥥

BirdyBee · 21/01/2021 22:05

The apple and pear flavoured munch bunch yogurt!

huggzy · 21/01/2021 22:43

Home pride potato bake.

Genuinely sad that they stopped making it.

I've mentioned it on several threads like this, along with biscuit sensation viennetta... they now sell a limited edition biscuit caramel viennetta so I figure if I keep talking about the potato bake it may reappear?!

I'm sure I've seen these in the bakery section of M&S in the last couple of years? Might be worth a look!

Cabana bars
Biarritz chocolates
Flavoured toffos
Pacers
Vanilla angel delight
Greens cake mix
Strawberry chocolate buttons

bendmeoverbackwards · 22/01/2021 07:47

Coffee matchmakers

Findus French bread pizzas

Kellogg’s Puffa Puffa rice cereal

Ben and Jerry’s coffee coffee buzz buzz buzz ice cream (think you can get it in the US

Lastly - Waitrose brownies from the bakery counter. My mum used to buy these as a treat in the 80s. They came in both chocolate and coffee versions, had thick icing and chunks of walnut. Delicious!

AmazingBouncingFerret · 22/01/2021 08:07

Caffè Nero used to do an orange and cranberry muffin that tasted so good.

Entenmmans chocolate fudge tray bake.

In the 90’s Asda did a ‘gold medal’ chocolate ice cream that was topped with a solid lid of real milk chocolate that you had to crack to get to the ice cream. It was perfection.

Boot’s Natural Collection did a tea tree toner that worked miracles at removing the splodges of hair dye that stained your skin.

Salt and vinegar flavoured salt. It tasted amazing on chicken flavoured super noodles. (Probably explains my high blood pressure nowadays! 😂)

Salt and vinegar discos used to do packets of crisps with little sachets of ‘flava (sic) enhancers’ used to make the flavour so intense that you’d end up with blueish purple lips after eating a packet.

Oooo I used to love french bread pizza!

CounsellorTroi · 22/01/2021 10:55

Birds Eye cheese potato waffles.

ChrissyPlummer · 22/01/2021 17:54

Thornton’s strawberry fondant pig and their hugs & kisses sweets.

Del Monte used to do a range called World Fruits and had a kiwi flavour. That was gorgeous.

Also miss Peartiser.

ThreeLadsPointingAtAStar · 22/01/2021 18:00

Marks and Spencers did a lemon meringue cookie - the serving suggestion was to warm and have with vanilla ice cream. They were amazing and then, for some reason they discontinued them - they still do all the other inferior cookies in the same style of packaging.

M&S also did an amazing pizza topped with spinach and a soft poached egg which has disappeared.

Livinglavidalockdown · 22/01/2021 18:07

Coconut boosts! I used to love them.
Who knows why they only continued with the biscuit version.

PandaBabyJuly · 22/01/2021 18:11

White aero
Mars planets
Tutti frutti sweets

cobblers123 · 22/01/2021 18:18

Milky Lunch, used to eat loads of them back in the 70s.

Kunzle cakes, for my dad, he often says how much he used to like them.

Chocolate mint Angel Delight

nuitdesetoiles · 22/01/2021 18:25

Not food but beauty products. There body shop protein creme rinse and peppermint foot cream.

longtompot · 22/01/2021 18:25

I'd forgotten about Cabana bars! Apparently discontinued in the 90s, but someone on Etsy has tried to recreate them for their partner who loved them too and missed them. Quite expensive though. www.etsy.com/uk/listing/691178068/cabana-bars-coconut-chocolate-cherries

woodhill · 22/01/2021 18:43

SirVixofVixHall · 22/01/2021 18:43
