Flex shampoo. I always buy it in Spain.

Topics are quite hard to get hold of now too. I used to get them from a particular garage, but even they’ve stopped selling them now.

The French Citroen DS car. Beautiful to look at and to ride in. Plus the pun on goddess.

The first version of Ambre Solaire suntan oil - the smell of it was lovely.

Spidertom1 · 20/01/2021 02:15

Andrew Collinge shampoo in mid 90's, it smelled like the ocean. They changed it at some point and it was rubbish.

ShetlandWife · 20/01/2021 02:27

Quality Street's peanut cracknels.

orangejuicer · 20/01/2021 02:28

Saw the title, immediately thought of Spira.

I used to use it like a straw and drink tea with it!

from the late 1980s - Linda MacCartney Shepherdess pie - with lentils and mash topping. The lentils had just the right amount of pepperyness.

Virgin cosmetics did a gorgeous turquoise blue shower gel - not to runny and great scent

Lenium shampoo - only thing that stopped my scalp itching

mantlepiece · 20/01/2021 03:35

A wrights vaporiser I had in the ‘80’s for when we had colds.
Aqua manda perfume was my favourite of all time.
The pork chops with a bit of kidney attached that you could get from the butchers many moons ago.

A Cadbury’s dairy milk chocolate bar that had individual chocolate box flavours in one bar!

Topsy1976 · 20/01/2021 05:19

Cheddarie cheese spread. Really tangy mmmm

TartanCurtains · 20/01/2021 08:46

There was a frozen dessert that came in a box of four. It was individual slices of arctic roll, covered in chocolate. No idea why you'd discontinue those!

And on the same theme, I loved an arctic roll that was made with ginger sponge and had a chocolate ice-cream gingerbread man shape running through the middle of the vanilla ice cream.

Milk Tray bar. It got a bit tricky when you got to the lime barrel though!

@RiverSkater

M&S vegetable slice, veg in a cheese sauce in flaky pastry. Delicious.

Franticbutterfly · 20/01/2021 08:57

I bought a pack of four in Sainsbury's before Christmas. Forgot how much I loved them.

Also peanut cracknel in Quality Streets were my favourite chocolates! I was so sad when they stopped putting them in :(

A thing that's really hard to get but not surest discontinued is Bailey and Harding's lavender hand wash. Not the chamomile and lavender one, just the plain deep purple lavender. I loved it for the kitchen and haven't seen it anywhere.

FlatteredRhubardFool · 20/01/2021 09:18

Pacers (as long as veggie)
M&S Vegetable Crispbakes
Morrison's Creamy Salsa
Full fat Ribena
Spira
Entennmans chocolate fudge cake
5 Alive
Krunchie Puffs
Quorn bacon lardons

hopelessbusiness · 20/01/2021 10:11

M&S used to do a frozen tuna fish pie - chunks of tuna, cheesy sauce and mashed potato topping. Was delicious.
Also miss the days when chocolate assortments had some 'different" ones in, instead of all toffee/fudge variants.
Pineapple creams from the cake shop...pastry, pineapple, cream, icing - heaven.

Tesco cherry and amaretto jam.

The original recipe of Heinz vegetable soup. They 'improved' it many years ago and ruined the taste of my childhood.

Marmite27 · 20/01/2021 13:15

@Marmite27

Salt and vinegar and prawn cocktail quavers
Look what my brother’s just sent me! 😍

Original irn bru without sweetener and full sugar instead and proper Cadbury’s the way it should taste.

JustNotFunAnymore · 20/01/2021 21:12

Whoever said cream cheesy nik naks I'm equally happy and sad! I'd forgotten all about them and now I want them 😂

orangejuicer · 21/01/2021 08:36

Full sugar coco pops!

lollipoprainbow · 21/01/2021 10:52

GameofPhones · 21/01/2021 13:26

Dettol Sea Minerals disinfectant. Appeared briefly, lovely smell - then disappeared. Have been looking for it ever since.

AppleCinnamonVanilla · 21/01/2021 13:33

Cabana bars, a bit like bounty, but with both coconut and cherry.

Triffic bars endorsed by Mike Reid.

Both remind me of Butlins...
