I forgot one! About 4 or 5 years ago, around Christmas, one brand, possibly the New York Bagel co, did a limited edition orange and cinnamon bagel. They were beautiful, hot and toasted with butter. Every year since, I've had a look for their return but they've never brought them back Sad

Sunpat Creamy Crunch peanut butter
Brannigans Beer Nuts

The pink and the red impulse body sprays from.the early 1990s.

I think it was called 'cracknel' in a tin of quality streets. Blue wrapper and inside was a milk chocolate covered piece of cracknel. If you sucked the chocolate off it was like a wafer to look at, but was completely made out of sugar I'd guess and was white in colour.

@EBearhug

Proctor and Gamble - if you're lurking... Please bring back Sunlight Soap.

You'd be better off asking Unilever, which grew out of Lever Brothers, the original maker.

You can buy sunlight soap, I bought some when I went to Port sunlight village. It's the Unilever museum in Ellesmere Port. Try the pound shop for sunlight soap as well.

One of my favourites.

Spiras
Secret bars
Mingles
Pyramints
United bar
Hazelnut yoghurt
Mirage drink

I am not drinking/eating healthy if that isn't obvious in my choices

@Darklingthrush

Bot a product but I would bring back porters and proper luggage services at stations. I was reading a book where a family went on holiday by train and the luggage was collected from their house and loaded for them - much less hassle.
I'd settle for just proper suitcase racks in the carriages on modern trains. If you're travelling with more than a cabin sized bag there's nowhere to put your luggage anymore (Great Western Railway I'm looking at you Hmm).

Proper Irn Bru with all the sugar!

Chocolate Rich Tea, used to eat loads when up in the night feeding DD1.

Something I remember from childhood, not sure what they were but they were like chocolate Sugar Puffs, only they were pink.

@tutorwho

Does anyone remember being able to purchase custard in a pot noodle style format? So you had the custard, added hot water and then the sauce? I used to get it as a kid from either Iceland or Kwik Save.

They were delicious.

Yes. Birds Hot and Fruity

Oh my god I thought I was the only one still pining after Spiras! WHY don't they just bring them back? Sad

SlightlyJaded · 19/01/2021 14:57

@BikeRunSki - I think Star Bars had chocolate on them. Nutty bars were just fudgy caramel and unsalted peanuts.

ChaToilLeam · 19/01/2021 15:28

Goya Black Rose and Gardenia perfumes

Can't remember which supermarket they were from, but my mum used to buy these French-style set yoghurts which were amazing. My brother and I used to fight over the kumquat and lychee one.
Asda have these!! The lemon one is gorgeous!

Vidal Sassoon shampoo and conditioner. The stuff that used to smell like almonds, in a brown bottle. Iconic.

hawleybits · 19/01/2021 22:46

Max Factor Lip potion from the 1970's. It was minty and sticky. The poor boys who had to put up with this stuff!
