@BlowDryRat

Little biscuit things (possibly called Cartoons?) That were pebble-shaped and had chocolate in the middle. I never had a packet of these scrumptious things myself but loved it when my school friends shared them with me at lunchtime. They'd stopped making them by the time I was old enough to buy my own :(

Sweet chilli Thai Bites. The knock-off versions available nowadays aren't the same.

I'm sure Cartoonies are still around, DS had something that sounded just like that from home bargains. Have they got little pictures printed on them?

Prawn cocktail Wotsits

Furries · 19/01/2021 00:04

@TinkersRucksack - yes, was definitely sold in an “independent “ type shop - not a chemist, but just a random mix of small baskets with every type of small pallets of eyeshadow/blusher etc.

Have googled images of CC, but they’re not ringing any bells.

Think I’ll have to be happy just wallowing in my very vague memories. Can’t believe how long ago they’re from - Time really does fly by!

Roasteros · 19/01/2021 00:06

@MrsIronfoundersson yes I am. I didn't realise that the fizzle stick recipe had been lost. Unfortunately I don't have itSad

Linzi2377 · 19/01/2021 00:12

Frys five centre bar!

QueenPawPaws · 19/01/2021 00:14

Oh I forgot a smoothie thing farm foods did. It was in individual packs, you added juice/yoghurt and blended it
I remember it because the doctor was saying I had high blood pressure and talking about medication. Randomly after having one of those smoothies every day for a few months, it was back to normal and the doctor was Confused when I said that was all that had changed!
They were delicious and really handy being individually packed

QueenPawPaws · 19/01/2021 00:26

@frustrationcentral they're the ones. I had some recently but I think they're called something else
The ones I got were in a pack of 4 individual

I've seen brannigans beef and mustard about but places like b&m, home bargains etc. My local shop seems to be a source of random crisps you think were gone!

QueenPawPaws · 19/01/2021 00:27

Ah
These are the cartoonie type ones, pretty similar

I've just googled and it looks like you could buy Cartoonies a couple of years ago in home bargains, I can't find them on the website though. They have a giraffe on the front of the pack?

I need to go and get some shopping from there later in the week and I'll have a look (whilst looking at essential biscuits of course...Grin)

IceDiscoSkater · 19/01/2021 00:33

Toast toppers in a can
Like a little mini can of cheese and ham paste you could spread on toast

nickyschof · 19/01/2021 00:36

Body shop Oceanus perfume
Avon Dream perfume
Asda spotted dick cake

Snog · 19/01/2021 03:10

The trim phone

Clicketyclick21 · 19/01/2021 07:17

Kettle chips in Louisiana Hot Sauce flavour circa 2001 - 2004. Disappointed early mid 00's, it was the perfect hot and spicy crisps.

Clicketyclick21 · 19/01/2021 07:18

Disappeared not disappointed l

piefacedClique · 19/01/2021 08:02

Oooo Kettle chips salsa and mesquite flavour too. I could polish those of with a glass of icy cold rose in no time 😍

sueelleker · 19/01/2021 09:01

AGrenelei; aka noisette potatoes or potato balls. I've seen them in Lidl, and found these on the Tesco website.www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/299538943
Iceland also sometimes have them.

WhateverJohnnyMcNofriends · 19/01/2021 09:42

So many already listed (especially Baked Bean pizzas - loved those!)

Smokey bacon monster munch
Clearly Canadian sparkling water - it came in a blue tinged glass bottle and was different fruit flavours - the cherry one was the best. I think you can still get it in the states but I refuse to pay nearly 40 quid for 1 bottle!

I also missed cordials etc without sweeteners - if I have stuff with sweeteners it really flares my joints (I have psoriatic arthritis) so I'm mourning the loss of Ribena (and Ribena spring from the 90s)

Also, in the 80s my mum used to buy Mr Men yogurts. The one with Mr Uppity on the side was a chocolate yogurt and it was so nice - well 4/5 year old me loved it anyway.

Yankee Candle Vanilla Lavender and Egyptian Musk
M&S Vanilla Clouds fabric conditioner

EBearhug · 19/01/2021 10:18

Proctor and Gamble - if you're lurking...
Please bring back Sunlight Soap.

You'd be better off asking Unilever, which grew out of Lever Brothers, the original maker.

Moonmelodies · 19/01/2021 10:34

Chunky Aero bars, and Terry's Neapolitans.

tutorwho · 19/01/2021 10:42

Does anyone remember being able to purchase custard in a pot noodle style format? So you had the custard, added hot water and then the sauce? I used to get it as a kid from either Iceland or Kwik Save.

They were delicious.

SirVixofVixHall · 19/01/2021 10:55

For those missing proper Ribena - the Rocks blackcurrant cordial has no sweeteners and is delicious....with hot water...yum.

Oldraver · 19/01/2021 10:59

Cinnamon loaf/bread from Asda, a lovely moist cakes sort of thing

Darklingthrush · 19/01/2021 11:03

Bot a product but I would bring back porters and proper luggage services at stations. I was reading a book where a family went on holiday by train and the luggage was collected from their house and loaded for them - much less hassle.
