What boring shit have you been excited about in lockdown?

I have a sinus infection and have antibiotics for it. I always get thrush despite trying probiotics and yakault. Anyway so I'm going to have to go out to buy a thrush treatment.

I'm just thinking to myself I'm actually excited to leave the house and buy a thrush treatment. Just wondering what really sad stuff other people have got excited about in lockdown which might otherwise be mundane.

DD (18 months) still occasionally says 'Tesco?' in a slightly beseeching way, as this was as exciting as life got over the summer.

Yesterday she got to help empty the washing machine. Running back and forth announcing which items she was bringing, she also added 'exciting' to every item. 'Daddy's socks - exciting!', 'Mummy's pants - exciting!'. Apparently this is as good as it gets for a toddler with puddle jumping fatigue in 2021.

I went for a walk today to take some plastic bags to the recyclIng bin at Sainsbury's, now there is one at the branch in walking distance. Didn't go in, mind, didn't want to overdo it.
I have also worked out that we only need to take a couple of defunct tablets to the tip so I can cycle (will they let me in? Who knows). All the clothes we need to recycle can go with the bins in carrier bags and everything else can wait for the charity shops.

We have been self isolating for 20 days... so I booked an online food delivery (usually shop at Lidl).

Oh the excitement in the house of watching the delivery driver walking up, dropping off the bags and then unpacking them - it was like Christmas all over again.

The poor delivery man was so sweet and kept waving to the DC in the window.

Needed some fruit and veg so went to supermarket, did a quick run around then spent 15 min in my car eating crisps in the peace. Was like a holiday🤣

At the moment dodgy ceramics - which will become different dodgy ceramics soon. But the plan is to make something useful that might slow down destroying the planet with climate change mind.

That surprised me, I’d imagined metal work or jewellery.

Today I have had 4 deliveries and I knew one of the delivery drivers from work so had a “chat”. First up a step stool to match the kitchen, then wicker storage baskets. They were so nice I’ve ordered a second set. Things ramped up when work sent a new printer. Icing on the cake was a replacement post for some shelves that had a faulty component. It was like fucking Christmas.
Tomorrow supermarket delivery!
