NetballHoop · 10/01/2021 20:48

Sorry. Stupid phone posted too early.

I think I have eaten everything mentioned apart from pickled eggs which sound vile.

I was laughed at though by my extended family when I said I had never eaten anything from Greggs.

AtleastitsnotMonday · 10/01/2021 20:49

Pot noodle
KFC
Mushy peas
Mint sauce

cherrypie111 · 10/01/2021 20:51

A kebab

evilharpy · 10/01/2021 20:56

Pickled eggs (there seem to be lots of us)

Not sure if this counts as normal but I have never tried eels and would never ever be able to bring myself to eat them. I can barely even look at pictures of them, they look so horrible.

LegendDairy · 10/01/2021 20:58

McDonald's

LynetteScavo · 10/01/2021 21:08

What do you think sushi is? Raw fish?
grey12 · 10/01/2021 21:11

Tinned beans. I have always hated beans in the dishes from my country and coming to the UK, tinned beans smell even worse!!! Confused

AgeLikeWine · 10/01/2021 21:15

Snails definitely count as ‘normal food’ If you’re French and I have never tried them. I’m normally a ‘try anything once’ person, but the sliminess would just make me retch before I got the thing in my mouth.

WhatAreWordsWorth · 10/01/2021 21:17

@FourTeaFallOut

Prawns, I just can't get past how they look.

Peanut butter - I always tell people I don't like it, but I've never actually tried!

I don't like cheese, and didn't try pizza until I was 15- ended up having it due to circumstances beyond my control (long story!), didn't want to try it but that's all there was- and obviously it started a love affair that has never ended!

Still don't like normal cheese though 😂

JerichosPenisInADeadChickHat · 10/01/2021 21:20

So far tried everything mentioned. I'm struggling to think of a normal food that I haven't

Coriandersucks · 10/01/2021 21:33

I’m the same - too embarrassed to say I’ve never tried something so ‘everyday’ that I just say I don’t like it.

KeepOnKeepingOnKeepingOn · 10/01/2021 21:33

Ahhh I was thinking about this the other day. Mine is peanut butter. Just never fancied trying it - it just doesn't appeal

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 10/01/2021 21:38

A lot of seafood - the idea of it just turns my stomach. Likewise offal.

I once worked with a woman who had never eaten a lot of what I consider really everyday things (pasta was one, also honey, and marmalade, but there were loads) until her 20s. Her sibling had a really severe phobia of vomiting, and the whole family only ate their “safe” foods.

Chocforthewin · 10/01/2021 21:40

@Ginfordinner erm well yea bits of fish hahaa I sound so ignorant 🙈 I can eat tuna Mayo but the thought of sushi being really cold & salty. I need to try some with some of the sauce on this year will be the year lol
