I've never eaten beetroot, cauliflower or pickled eggs.

What everyday food have you never eaten ?

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER

Also banned on the subway in Singapore.
They are a huge delicacy to some I know, but to me they taste gross.

They're lovely to eat, it's just hard getting your head round eating something that smells so awful.

Durians are usually banned from hotel rooms in SE Asia because of the stink.
When driving through Malaysia ages ago dh and I would hastily wind up the car windows if we saw a durian stall ahead (no standard aircon then) because of the stink. They do literally smell like sick.

A Vietnamese friend assures me that they’re delicious to eat, though.

I've never eaten shell fish or crustaceans and neither would I.

I didn't try cheesecake until I was 18. I love it now. Smile

Most of these are not everyday!

I don’t think there’s an everyday food I haven’t tried. I only had faggots for the first time fairly recently, which I suppose are everyday but very regional. They were delicious.

Tuna

Also: Winkles
Shrimps
Lobster
Prawns
Crab.
This makes me the black sheep because my family doesn't consider it high tea unless there's shellfish. Celebration meals out involved more of the same. I swear they must have kept Sheeky's in business for years!

Shellfish? Ugh, slippery slimy stuff. I'll stick to being the black sheep.

Subway
Tripe
Pickled egg

Not sure why not the pickled egg as love eggs and pickles.

I don't understand how some posters have lived without eating an egg. A bog standard egg.

One of my highlights is a Saturday morning fried egg sandwich with brown sauce and a strong cup of tea. Luxurious.

Parsnips - never seen the need for them.
Beetroot.
Whipped cream. (Hardly any sweet tooth helps). Love clotted cream oddly.
Jaffa cakes
Haribo or any other m and s type packet sweets.
Roses.
Fresh apricots - never appealed and they are in season surrounded by so much more lovely stone fruit.
