We've had a lovely dinner of Mongolian chicken, DH has cleaned everything up and I'm a bit tired knackered so I'm off to bed soon.

We made a granola earlier. Ades some Greek yoghurt and frozen fruit and it was delicious.

DS and I ate most of it instead of leaving it for breakfast which was the plan when we first made it.

I’m up and procrastinating rather than getting ready for work. Just caught up with the weekend traffic on the threads!

In dull news, I prepped pulled pork for DC dinner yesterday and remembered to put it in the slow cooker and turn it on this morning.

I'm having breakfast soon, probably poached eggs on toast. I took a nice shower earlier.

I'm also up and have just finished my breakfast. I'm drinking my cup of tea and have just put my dressing gown on as I'm cold.

I will use the new beeswax wraps for the DC sandwiches today.

What temp is it where you are? Apparently it's 7° here which is an improvement!

I got up with the first alarm today instead of hitting snooze ( mainly because I needed a wee). Having a match a tea, then will be ready to face Monday.
I left my new flask at work on Friday, so can't take in coffee.

With all the kerfuffle over DDog1 I was a bit disorganised over lunch yesterday, so had to use my emergency supply that I keep in my locker.

I now have 2 lunchboxes to pack today before work.

Oh you're waiting for an update? Fingers crossed. I was annoyed this morning as I opened a new book and the first page is chapter 26 or whatever. Publisher obviously made an error.

Apologies to Frownette - I didn't acknowledge your cauliflower curry suggestion sorry. I made a cauliflower & lentil one in the end. It was good & I'm taking the leftovers to work for dinner (lunch if you're not a Northerner

No @Frownette, the NHS site is telling me I’m not eligible for a free test! I don’t know if I should call them for further guidance or lie...

Many men in high vis in evidence this morning. There was one outside hosing down the oxygen tank and pipe work when I walked in, there are 3 in my colleague’s office all looking at the ceiling, and there are a couple of miscellaneous ones wandering about the corridor carrying copper pipes.

Home learning today - first lesson was PE and DS was asleep but PE is top of the list of hated lessons and neither of us were willing to risk death to tell DS. Cold war next at 10am.

Oh dear, you've really had an outbreak there? I should get test through tomorrow so could possibly be free Wednesday (if negative). As far as I know I haven't been in contact with anyone who's tested positive.

Not sure if you should feign symptoms? What does other colleague think? I think it can take a while to show or be asymptomatic

Nearly 10am!!

DS looked half asleep so I just went through the lessons and the answers superfast - it was 90% repetition and said he could go back to sleep.

I want to go to sleep too. Done Cold war, Of Mice and Men and Maths wih DS and found details of a new 6th form DD wants to know about and its only 1.08pm. So I'm resigning for the rest of the day and sleeping. Still no news on sale, argh.

I've just got in from work and DH hasn't set his desk back up (he finished on the 19th December so we took it all down to make space for the tea), so he's sat at the dining table with his laptop. He's permanently on calls and gets very grumpy with background household noise, which makes it tricky for me to go and make my lunch.

On the upside, I'm not actually particularly hungry and am now stretched out on the living room sofa in the middle of the day. He normally works in here, so I never get to do this since he started WFH full time. I might have a nap.

DH just went to Co-op and came back with cumberland pie and stale doughnuts. DS is horrified at the idea of Cumberland pie and says his will go to the cat. He only likes very plain food and is horrified it has both veg in and cheese on top. I did try and reassure him that these would both be fake but couldn't sell it. Roast dinner tonight. Cat will be happy with DS.

Hoping everyone is feeling better this morning after the weekend.

Slightly excited about going into the office on thursday, first time since october (am going for my appraisal, must stop procastinating and get on and prepare for it properly), it will shake up my week!

I really have to get to the post office before it shuts at 5:30 so shall get my skates on and do some work beforehand..

I made some Onion soup at lunchtime for tonights tea, will do the real emmental croutons too, having never made it before i hope it stands up to my expectations!
