What have you eaten today?

I’ve had a ravenous hunger all day and can’t believe how much I’ve eaten and yet still feel hungry! No matter how much I eat, i don’t feel full.
Today I’ve eaten...
A smoked salmon bagel and a glass of cranberry juice.
garlic mushrooms on one of those small half ciabattas.
3 sausage rolls, a packet of frazzles, biscoff chocolate biscuits, half a mango, cheese and crackers. Oh, and a cherry bakewell thingy.
Also drunk about a litre of water, probably more. Had a walk but no other exercise other than pottering about the house. And I’ve had 2 naps Grin
I haven’t had my dinner yet but we are having burgers and wedges, slaw and a big salad (I need it!).
I think this is why I usually don’t eat breakfast, it just makes me bloody ravenous all day long. Or maybe it’s because it’s really cold?!
What have you eaten today?
Just a disclaimer, I’m not being competitive here, I don’t need anyone criticising my options and telling me I haven’t had enough protein/fibre/quinoa/snacked too much etc. I generally eat very well and I’m not worried about what I’ve eaten today, people get weirdly invested and wound up over food threads and about what people eat. I’m just being nosey!

3 small sausage rolls, half a can of baked beans, brown sauce.

2 mugs of tea and 1 white coffee with 1 tsp sugar.

TheChosenTwo · 09/01/2021 19:16

I should have said my 3 sausage rolls were also small!
Is that you done for the day or will you eat again?

2 sticks of celery.
The ends of the marzipan from when I made the Xmas cake.
Mongolian beef with rice.
Copius cups of tea.

KirstenBlest · 09/01/2021 19:53

2 vegetarian escalopes, 4 tortilla wraps, about one romaine lettuce, large handful of spinach and a matchbox-size piece of mild cheddar.

And, because of leftover Christmas sweets, 5 quality street truffles.

OP, you have eaten a lot of carbs, which has probably messed up your blood sugar levels, making you feel hungrier. A carbohydrate-heavy breakfast tends to make one crave carbs for the res of the day.

I admire you for managing to only eat one bag of Frazzles.

LegendDairy · 09/01/2021 19:54

TheChosenTwo · 09/01/2021 20:23

I normally don’t eat ‘breakfast’, even when I go for a run first thing, I have never been able to face eating early. I can tolerate food after about 10 though, just not during the week when I’m up at 5:30 (on run days) or 6:30 (non run days). I eat later on and have something akin to a brunch and then I have dinner so usually 2 good sized meals and a few snacks inbetween.
Breakfast just makes me eat all day long!
Yes, to whoever said it was a lot of carbs which has probably caused sugar spikes and drops, most definitely. I don’t usually eat like this, I just can’t believe I’ve not felt full after eating anything, every time I ate I thought “ooh I could eat that all over again!” Grin

I’m already spying up some more cheese and crackers when I’m done with dinner Grin

I never eat breakfast. Such an easy way to eat less over the day and I manage perfectly fine so long as I can eat lunch at 12 ish.

Losing the Christmas weight plus trying to lose the final 5kg after losing 15 last year so meals reflect that!

Lunch: stir fry veg with some sesame oil and soy sauce with low carb/cal noodles and some peanuts on top
Snack: itsu seaweed thins - the most amazing hit of salt when you are craving crisps or similar for just 22kcal
Dinner: sausage Ragu with courgette as a base rather than pasta
Was going to have a pancake for pudding but the pesky kids were very greedy tonight so I sacrificed mine.
