For me

  • I park in parent and child spaces when I have my kids with me. I don't make my life harder by parking in a tiny normal space just in case that childless bloke in the Porsche 911 who runs into Asda like Linford Christie might have a better reason for it than me
  • if I have a bad experience I complain. If I find my £40 steak swimming in fat with a pube in it, I don't refrain from saying anything just in case the chef has had a bad day.
  • I go to the supermarket during the pandemic, I don't leave shaking and sobbing and riddled with guilt over it because I bought a Galaxy. I even take my kids with me.
  • I don't "seethe" if, when the secret Santa budget is £5, I get a Bayliss and Harding gift set. I accept that £5 means limited options and I say thanks, move on and don't take it as a personal alight for years to come. I don't have the hump becauSe they didn't personally whittle a keyring from wood in the oak tree that tenderly grows in their back garden

I run with scissors.

TableFlowerss · 01/01/2021 15:39

I don’t think they should close all schools!

I’m pleased they are keeping primary schools open.

Toilettripping · 01/01/2021 15:39

I believe that breast feeding and co sleeping past 6 months is what is leading to your child not sleeping properly. Put them in their own room and leave them to cry/fend for themselves.

I did my kids a Christmas Eve box and none of their gifts were second hand to protect the environment.
I have 3 children - the horror! Think of the planet!
I have a toilet brush
I drive a 4x4 AND .... I have a private registration plate.

May as well delete my account

rossogingerale · 01/01/2021 15:40

powershowerforanhour · 01/01/2021 15:43

I like horse racing and have 3 online gambling accounts (for proper betting- albeit small stakes- not arbing for pin money).

TheShyGuy · 01/01/2021 15:43

I don't limit my kids gaming time

sergeilavrov · 01/01/2021 15:44

I grew up Working Class
I vote Tory
I went to Private School, so will my children
I not only have toilet brushes in every bathroom in my home, I actually went to the trouble of buying pretty ones and don't hide them away
I support Trans rights and think reserved birth sex spaces are basically for refuges only
A medium chicken feeds my DH only.
I voted to leave the EU because I think it's inherently discriminatory against non-Europeans and I'm sick of continued 'white power' dressed up as liberalism
Our children don't get given an Oxfam goat for Christmas, and I don't really care if people think they're 'spoiled' as a result
I don't believe Muslim countries are backwards, and I think Israel is great too
I call people cunts on regular occasion, as a term of annoyed endearment - and while I've reduced swearing in front of our children, my DS does call people idiots as he's heard me on the phone
I like participating in secret santa's, always go over budget, and don't care if I get anything at all because the point is it's fun to shop and treat other people
I wish there were more men on Mumsnet
I have a PhD and don't agree that means I'm not good at anything/was unemployable... I think it actually suggests quite the opposite.

startrek90 · 01/01/2021 15:54

I groom my bush Wink

readingismycardio · 01/01/2021 15:57

@GlummyMcGlummerson

I also really love lavish weddings, I don't think the best weddings are the ones where the bride and groom spent 50p and the meal is sandwiches on a park bench. I like weddings where I get a 3 course meal worth £100 and a free bar
You would've loved ours! We did & everyone did too! And the best part is that we don't regret any of the money, it was beautiful and so much fun!
Tomatobear · 01/01/2021 15:58

I do buy new things as well as second hand.

I don't understand the extreme family dramas, going no-contact and tit for tat petty stuff. We just all pitch in really. Those that don't we put up with because they're family.

I don't have an issue with trans people and I think this site is quite damaging for it. I think people get swept into it, a bit like conspiracy theory fear. Not keen on the sports and winning all the female medals side of it but that's it. Feel free to use my loo, locker room etc. I think they're far more vulnerable to attacks than us women sometimes.

I don't mind the men here and am interested to hear their input on things (as long as they're not the weirdo ones that appear every now and then!).

I can count on one hand how many times I've washed my windows.. only when they've start getting blurry Blush

Paragraphs... Gone

SimonJT · 01/01/2021 15:59

Oh I have thought of a proper few actually.

I don’t really limit my language in front of my son, he knows he isn’t allowed to say swear words in English, but he can in Urdu.

I vape.

I have hobbies.

SendHelp30 · 01/01/2021 16:01

Oh and my sons have “nicknames” and they don’t have the long version on their birth certificates because I don’t like them and have no intention of ever using them.
According to mumsnet, they’re both destined for a life on the dole!

KangaShade · 01/01/2021 16:02

I am politically engaged but indifferent to Brexit. Felt the same four years ago which is why I didn't vote in the referendum. I think it's all a massive, boring distraction from the real issues.

MagicSummer · 01/01/2021 16:03

I don't like babies or children - at all.

FoldenHoard · 01/01/2021 16:04

I like my MIL
My kids can eat McDonalds
I don’t think the majority of the Classics threads are real or worthy of the category
I’ve never seen Anthony Head on a train

Meruem · 01/01/2021 16:06

I don’t really care if someone calls me hun.
Likewise i’m not up in arms if a tradesman calls me “love”.
I also let said tradesman use my toilet with no fuss.
I don’t clean my skirting boards.
I don’t treat sugar as if it’s crack cocaine.
I’ve never been to Center Parcs.
I’m a bit overweight and I don’t care!
I smoke.
Oh and I drink more than 14 units a week and I really enjoy it!

quizqueen · 01/01/2021 16:13

I would never feel the need to air any problems I have online like other posters. Also, this site is generally too left wing and woke for me and I hate poor spelling and grammar on social media. I read mostly for the entertainment value and, on the odd occasion, I feel I may be able to offer the odd snippet of sensible advice or information.

RandomUsernameHere · 01/01/2021 16:13

I have 3 loo brushes!
Never used Zoflora (or even heard of it other than on here)
I regularly eat a whole large pizza on my own
I don't separate the tea towels from the rest of the laundry!!!

BillMasen · 01/01/2021 16:13

Oh you’ve reminded me I have a hobby that’s isn’t golf or cycling
