Ideas for New Years Eve food.

Like everyone else we are home New Year’s Eve.

Would like a special tea- fed up of buffet food, had Chinese last night , cooking curry tonight.

So ideas for a good special tea - we don’t really eat fish either

Homemade pizza here too! Best pizza ever (if I do say so myself). I'll do some homemade wedges too.

We are doing a massive Mexican meal, all vegetarian. Then ice cream sundaes.

We're doing a fondue. Gruyere and emmental, splash of kirsch, grate of nutmeg, hint of garlic and bit of cornflour. Will have a selection of crusty bread, salamis, pear, and new potatoes to dip in. Mmmm.

Were having tapas, suppose that's a buffet of sorts!

Chorizo in honey, prawns with lemon, garlic and chilli, sun dried tomato and mozarella salad, baked halloumi with tomatoes and oregano, Spanish omelette, olives, white bait and some dips! May attempt to make some bread as well!

We are having pate to start, then pork belly, then profiteroles. Quite rich but it is new years after all!

We're doing a whole load of Mexican. With lots of tequila!

Pulled pork buns with pickles, potato salad and coleslaws.

I made a mistake and asked the dc.. should have know they would say burgers.

Going to make the bases and make various toppings to choose from and we can all make our own. Garlic bread (double carbs but what the hell) and salad. Homemade profiteroles for pudding.

Me and my family usually have a Chinese can't beat a nice bit of sweet and sour chicken

Come on then, spill - what's your dough recipe? I plan to make my own bases but I've never done it before so I need help!

Haggis with usuals here, love the stuff. I tried it before I knew what it was and now it’s a bit of a tradition at this time of year. Whiskey poured over- yum

Tartiflette....onions, potato, bacon, garlic, cream, cheese and white wine.....what is not to like? With crusty bread and green salad.....yum.

Dh says "m&s party food". I know the dc will like this. I am ambivalent. If it were up to me it would be seafood platter.
