Slippers - with socks or without.

3/5 say without.
2/5 say with.

We are obviously having a reet good time in our house

With, otherwise your slippers need washing quite frequently and who can be arsed with that?

Unless the slippers are pure lambswool in which case bare feet is fine.

With else my feet sweat like mad and make my slippers horrible.

Either. Socks during the day when I am dressed. Without socks in the evening or morning when I am in my pyjamas.

They are the weird ones IMO.

Depends whether you are dressed or not. Middle of the night shuffle to the loo, no socks. Home in the middle of the day, socks.

I've got fed up if having to keep buying new slippers as when washed the cardboard melts so I buy little footsie slipper socks for warmth - I usually wear flip flops

Will it change opinions if I disclose that the slippers in question are microwaveable ones?

With in winter. With or without otherwise. Depends on whether I'm already wearing socks.

Microwaveable and new. Gifted to a slipper-wearing virgin (ie, me).

Definitely with socks in that case. I saw those microwaveable ones and wondered if I would want the smell of hot sweaty feet in my microwave and wafting round my kitchen

I'm the opposite. I only ever have bare feet in the shower. Then the socks go on and are changed for clean bed socks before bed.

Slippers with socks is like men wearing socks with sandals. I buy slippers I can wash.

What are these slipper things of which you speak?

Depends how sweaty your feet get. I throw away about a dozen slippers a year because dw cannot seem to smell her own calcified mould. I wish she would wear socks.
