Slippers - with socks or without.

2/5 say with.

We are obviously having a reet good time in our house

Without. My feet get too hot otherwise.

But I only wear those thin, semi disposable hotel/spa style slippers, so they never last long enough to get grubby or sweaty.

slippers are for slobbing out and being comfy so whatever is on your feet is good, its a state of mind!

"Slipper dodger" - I like it. I seem to be one of the few whose feet barely sweat at all, and I am a proud sock dodger. I've been going barefoot in slippers (and trainers as well) since childhood, because I like the way it feels, while those around me have warned me of the consequences... but my feet haven't fallen off, and I'm not changing my ways now.

Microwaveable footwear. Oh, jeez. That's gross unless you wash them every time before you heat them up. Please tell me it's a removable part that you heat and then replace in the slipper, rather than heating the whole thing that your foot's been in several times?

Me depends on whether dressed or not, DH wears indoor trainers so he is a with, Ds1 goes barefoot and only puts on socks and shoes to leave the house, which isn't often. DS2 no slippers but walks around in socks. I have different slippers depending on what I'm doing, hard soled ones if I am doing stuff in and out the house. Soft fluffy boots for everyday and nice ones for when we have visitors. Obviously not getting any wear out of those at the moment

I would have said socks. However since I bought sheepskin slippers a few weeks ago, I can now go without socks and they do NOT stink to high heaven. Can not recommend them enough they are awesome. Got them half price in TKMaxx for £25 which seemed like quite a lot at the time but I would buy them again and again they are ace.

Without.

With, always with. Bamboo socks and slipper boots when it’s really cold and fur slippers when it’s not Arctic. Flip flops in summer if it’s hot.ŵ

Yeah, this. Not sure why they do, but they do.

With. It feels weird to me to wear slippers without socks

With. Although I don't have socks on in the morning until after I've showered. So I get up, wee, cup of tea, shower. Then as I get dressed I add socks. So I'd say 90% of my time wearing slippers happens with socks on

Depends on whether the slippers in question are actually flip flops with a toe-post. In which case, without.

Without but mine are sheepskin and only worn when it's very cold and never worn when I'm curled up on the sofa

The right answer to the question depends absolutely on the type of house shoe. Clog? Could be sock. Fitted slipper? Probably not. Fleece-lined, if proper fleece, then no. Etc., etc.,

Am I the only one who has 2 pairs of slippers for both purposes? 🙈
I have a pair I wear with socks during the day around the house, and another pair without socks for when I get up in the night or after a bath etc.

I can't stand the thought of dirty or wet socks. Can't bring myself to wear my everyday slippers without socks and vice versa.
Feel like a weirdo now haha

With socks had same discussion today with dc3 who's slippers are in the bin after being washed too many times (and have fallen apart) because wears them without socks.
