Slippers - with socks or without.

We are obviously having a reet good time in our house

With. If I wear slippers without socks my feet get all sweaty and the slippers feel horrible.

Depends on the coldness of my feet.
At the moment - cotton socks, woolie socks and slippers as it is 16°C at my desk.

But a question worthy of deep discussion.

I hate slippers. Sweaty frumpy things. I wear flip flops or thick socks in the house

with in the winter ,in the summer i wear flip flops so no socks

I'm grateful for all the considered opinions! I've been a lifelong slipper dodger, and these are my first ones so I feel it's important to observe the correct etiquette ..,

I do not nor ever have owned slippers. From observation though I’d say it might depend on the type of slipper ?
I’ve seen furry lined slippers which surely would be so hot anyway let alone with a sock as well ? Also seen quite hard unlined slippers where I can imagine a sock would be comfy.
If I did have slippers I would be a no sock vote I think.

Without, slippers should be cosy and lined in a way that they don’t require socks. If wearing socks I don’t need slippers

Depends how sweaty your feet get. I throw away about a dozen slippers a year because dw cannot seem to smell her own calcified mould. I wish she would wear socks.

I think I only wear socks outside the house. My dh does buy me ridiculously expensive every year for Christmas though.

Having never owned a pair of slippers in my life , I would say either is fine. You wear slippers for some additional form of comfort/security, so a thin layer of sockage isn't going to make a great deal of difference ?

They feel disgusting after a while, without socks.

I wear crocs around the house, for support, anyhow.

Depends on the weather . Socks yes in cold weather. No in hot weather. Have two pairs so they can be washed and alternated.
