Hi everyone, just wondering what everyone’s plans are for tomorrow and when you plan on getting up with your children?
Merry Christmas to you all and I hope you all have a lovely day despite the circumstances Xmas Smile

Whenever my 2 year old wakes up (please not 5 again Confused)

dementedpixie · 24/12/2020 21:36

I'll probably wake somewhere around 6.30/7am needing the toilet. Dh will wake up with me getting up. Kids will get woken by 11 if not awake already (they are teenagers)

SimonJT · 24/12/2020 21:37

When my five year old wakes up, this morning that was 5:30, kill me.

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 24/12/2020 21:40

About 9.30 / 10.

No kids and have just worked a straight 15 days.

Topseyt · 24/12/2020 21:41

My 3 are grown up now but are here. The youngest is 18 and the eldest is 25, so I think it will be a fairly civilised time. Probably between 8 and 9.

You never know, there might even be a chance for DH and I to have a peaceful cup of tea before it all kicks off.

Mustardbay · 24/12/2020 21:42

7:15 so we'll be dressed before toddler wakes about 7:45.

CatherineCawood · 24/12/2020 21:42

9am. Kids are 14 and 18 so they can wait. Mostly likely have to wake the 24 year old up

AnneLovesGilbert · 24/12/2020 21:45

When the toddler wakes me.

Iamaweirdone · 24/12/2020 21:46

Me and DD (17!) have agreed to set our alarms for 7.30 so she can bring her stocking in to me and open it in my bed. I can not wait

Thisisworsethananticpated · 24/12/2020 21:47

I’ll go to bed before kids , so 8 to fill stockings !

triceratops12 · 24/12/2020 21:47

I have an awful feeling my DC will wake up at 2am to find their stocking and we will be up for the day.

Diverseduvet · 24/12/2020 21:48

When I wake up naturally. No guests so no sweat.

whiteroseredrose · 24/12/2020 21:49

Nowadays about 10am if we're lucky - teenagers! We've had our share of 5am starts though.

Superstardjs · 24/12/2020 21:49

Have a pact with the teenager that if one of us is awake before the other, we have permission to wake the sleeper at 11am.

foreverandalways · 24/12/2020 21:50

I would give anything to go back 25 years and have the children;young again and the excitement of it all...sooooooooooo quiet in our house atm and not the same sadly....I would love to be woken up at 3am by excited voices and hear the ripping sound of the wrapping paper being torn apart, the laughter, smell of the tinsel and the noise of my mother cooking in the kitchen....love to all x

Pipandmum · 24/12/2020 21:50

Agreed about ten with my daughter. My sin will be happy with that too.

Thatwentbadly · 24/12/2020 21:50

When the little ones wake us up. I’m hoping for the normal 7ish.

HeyMichaelmasTerm · 24/12/2020 21:50

Children are under instruction not to come in before 7. Skyping with DM in Oz at 8

MossandRoy · 24/12/2020 21:51
  1. Start work at 0700.
HappyThursdays · 24/12/2020 21:51

My dc are all over 18 so have just discussed when they will get up and they have concluded they will be up at 11am Grin

However me and dp have a puppy who will be up at 7am and expecting his morning walk with his best mate Grin so we will be up then

inquietant · 24/12/2020 21:51

We still get up early even though no little ones now! It'll be 6am at the latest, like any other day.

helloxhristmas · 24/12/2020 21:52

6 possibly 530, if anyone would like to fix my children please try.

Stepintochristmas2020 · 24/12/2020 21:52

Have told ds (who is 7) to stay in bed til 6am... but more than likely we will just get up any time after 5.

BuzzingTheBee · 24/12/2020 21:52

I’ve told the Dcs no earlier than 8

SquigglePigs · 24/12/2020 21:55

That's up to my 2yr old - so on the basis of the last couple of weeks somewhere around 6am if we're lucky!
