Please recommend me a thrilling and absorbing Netflix series?

Please.

I've seen the usual ones - Money Heist etc. Looking for something that is instantly absorbing and keeps me glued.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Unorthodox
The first series of OA

Love and anarchy

Ozark. Just excellent. I've never felt so stressed for not very likeable characters in tv, ever.

Watch something light after though ... I'd recommend Shitts Creek Grin

I didn't like Ozark. Too dark and mumbling for my liking! Not sure I fancy unorthodox.

Love and anarchy is a possibility

Thanks

It's difficult when we don't know what you have seen!

Have you seen The Bridge? That's on iplayer.

Giri Haji? Two of my favourites.

LuciaLemon · 22/12/2020 19:04

I can never remember what I've watched until it's mentioned Grin

I don't like scandi noir stuff

Suits - bloody brilliant

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 22/12/2020 19:06

Ahh fair enough.

MrsMiaWallis · 22/12/2020 19:07

Caliphate
The Mess You Leave Behind

Caliphate is scandi but about ISIS. Kept me gripped throughout.

Sparklingbells · 22/12/2020 19:08

I thought "how to get away with murder" was excellent. I watched the entire 6 seasons in a week and a half 😳

Sparklingbells · 22/12/2020 19:08

Also blacklist

kimlo · 22/12/2020 19:09

The Queen’s Gambit
Unorthodox
Sex Education

karala · 22/12/2020 19:15

second The Queen's Gambit - I am now trying to learn chess

SugarKaneKowalczyk · 22/12/2020 19:21

Agree about Giri Haji and Queens Gambit. Also Unbelievable if you haven't seen it yet.

MrsMiaWallis · 22/12/2020 19:27

Queen's Gambit starts well but sags and has some really weird acting

twinklychristmaslights · 22/12/2020 19:28

Yes Giri Haji is great too

LuciaLemon · 22/12/2020 19:40

Might give the queens gambit a go , thank you.

I think we tried Sex education but I couldn't get straight in my mind that it was all Americanised but British.

I've just started Alice in Borderland and it's good so far.

Schmoana · 22/12/2020 19:58

Russian doll
Designated survivor
The messiah

bellagogosdead · 22/12/2020 19:59

Dead to me is great and keeps you guessing.
I also loved The Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency which was also wonderful and surprising, although so far from the books so not what I was expecting at all.

Gonkytonk · 22/12/2020 20:01

Sense8
Amazing series if it’s still on

Panicmode1 · 22/12/2020 20:03

Mindhunter was brilliant.....I'm not convinced by The Queens Gambit. Have watched 4 eps and feel its all a bit style over substance...

CourtAndSpark2 · 22/12/2020 20:19

On Netflix

  • Unorthodox
  • Unbelievable
