Amazing TV shows cancelled after one season

What TV shows have you absolutely loved that have been cancelled after one season. Loads for me but 3 that stand out are

Away (just heard this has been cancelled which has prompted this thread)

Reaper ran for two seasons but was very much missed in our household. We never got an ending. 😞

I was really disappointed there wasn't a second series of Eternal Law, the series about angels working as lawyers in York starring Samuel West.

I LOVED Eternal Law!

I loved Men In Trees. It was halted after 2 seasons because of the writers strike and not picked up again. Gutted ☹️

I wish they’d make a second series of the K drama Crash Landing on You.

January this year, they said it’s on indefinite hold.

Studio 60 on the sunset strip. Amazing show.

I enjoyed limitless and lie to me. Both a bit silly but entertaining and the kind of thing I like to watch when I’m a bit zonked out after work. If anyone can thing of anything like that, that doesn’t take its self to seriously, then please tell me!

The one that got me was terra nova - glad I’m not the only one

Another one that lasted two series was Eli Stone with Jonny Lee Miller.

Yes to those who said My So-called Life, it was my first thought.

I can't believe it only lasted one series, we'd never know how things went with Jordan & Angela.

Would Angela & Rayanne reconcile? ( Well she did forgive Jordan)

What would become of Ricky? One of my fav characters on there.

Would Brian shave his head, get a tattoo and rock up one year looking like a totally cool dude?? - Probably not, but still. So many unanswered questions, it makes my now old ass, feel sad

I really wanted to see how Mortel on Netflix was going to end.

The Exorcist they only did 2 seasons and apparently 6 were planned 😢. I loved it so much and the Mexican priest was HOT

I really enjoyed NY:LON which was on in the early 2000s. I was gutted that it didn't get a second season.

These two both got two seasons but were then cancelled and I wish they'd had more.

Loved them both.

Firefly (of course), Terra Nova and Earth 2. Also Dh loved Space, above and beyond. He is still really gutted there was only the one series of that.

As you can properly tell, we are a pair of scfi nerds and he now hates any new scfi series coming along because they never last more than a few seasons at best.

ALTERED CARBON!!!!!! ( although if they had stuck to one of the books we may have seen that go more than 2.)

I loved my So called life. There's been few good TV drama's like The Halcyon where I expected another series then doesn't materialise . I don't think they get long enough these days to build up viewers.

I keep watching shows on prime & not noticing its only 1 series & cancelled after I've got into it, like.

I love Tru Calling which finished abruptly in the middle of the second season I think.
A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square was a BBC series about Victorian Nannies & I loved it. Even bought the VHS. It was totally set up for a second season too!

This thread has reminded me about Flashforward. I had totally forgotten about it.

So many people have mentioned it, I wonder why it didn't get a second series.

I got really into this TV show called The Society on Netflix. I was really excited for season 2 but Netflix decided to cancel it due to covid. Now I’ll never know what happened.
