Amazing TV shows cancelled after one season

What TV shows have you absolutely loved that have been cancelled after one season. Loads for me but 3 that stand out are

Ringer
Flashforward
Away (just heard this has been cancelled which has prompted this thread)

Flashforward ♥️

Lie to me was fantastic.

But the worst cancellation was Police Squad! (In color)

They even cancelled it because it was too funny!

River, with Nicola Walker.

Flashforward was terrible. I'm not surprised it didn't return.

Better Off Ted. Fantastic sitcom. I can never find it anywhere either.

I too had high hopes for V Wars but it just didn't deliver. Shame really as I thought it could have potential.

I also liked The Passage.

The Hot Zone but I think that was meant to only be one season.

Also The Unusuals, a police comedy starring Jeremy Renner and Amber Tamblyn.

Forever with Ioan Gruffud I loved it

Ah, apparently Better Off Ted had two seasons.

The Ioan Gruffudd was Forever - he wasn't a time traveller, he was immortal. I really enjoyed it. Joan Gruffudd was also in Ringer so I think he has bad luck with this kind of thing!

Sorry - just posted same I loved `forever’ You might like ‘Harrow’ on Prime he is in that, it’s a great series and he’s a forensic pathologist again...

I liked the Last Tycoon, The Halcyon and Our Zoo which have all been mentioned. Also Home Fires (although think this was cancelled after two seasons not one) - ended on a real cliffhanger!

Oh yes. How could I have forgotten that!

@EnPoinsettia I didn't know Stumptown had been cancelled! I loved that. I just watched it on Alibi (I think) fairly recently and presumed they were making another series...

Well it had two series but I wanted to see what would happen next in Joan of Arcadia, loved that programme

Yes! It was so good and great music as well, really surprised the BBC didn’t stick with it, though I’m guessing it’s not the demographic the BBC are looking to appeal to these days sadly.

The Crimson Field, I’d have loved this to show four years of a nursing hospital in France, with all the crap that’s on I was gutted, not enough casualty 1900s either.

I would have liked a 2nd series of that too!

Babylon with Daniel kaluuya, james nesbitt, Jill halfpenny, Brit marling etc. I watched it on Netflix and now it’s on britbox

North Square fans have you watched Silk? Sadly only had 2 series but plenty of courtroom action and Rupert Penry-Jones.

I’m a medical history nut so these shows are gold dust brought on blu ray if possible. Remember the Royal? I was livid when they cancelled after 8 year’s luckily I have them all most from Poland English audio with polish subtilises they only way I could get them. The U.K. only released s 1 and 2.
