To loathe the cat with a passion?

He is so needy, follows me everywhere, usually looking for food, which he then sniffs and walks away. He’s also got the loudest, most annoying miaow you’ve ever heard and it grates, to the extent I have to put him in another room or else I leave the room and leave him in there! The worst thing is that it’s just me and him during the day and that’s when he’s at his worst. So, is it YABU It’s a bloody cat or YANBU he needs to find a new home?

Idk I don't like cats but if you've chose to have one for a pet then I guess yabu but I've felt that way about my MIL's cat.

Never been a cat person, I don't like them and they don't like me. They are cute though from a distance

Our dcat has been like this since April when his dbro died.
Cured by getting a dkitten!!.

Is this a wind up ? In case it’s not - No surprise you changed your name. The cat knows you don’t like them so I would suggest it best if it gets rehomed to someone that will appreciate them.

Well can you find him a good home? So not dumping him in a shelter but if you have a suitable friend or relation who would offer him a good home then there's no fundamental reason not to rehome him.

Have you tried talking to him? I talk to my cat and he is fine. One of my cats had a very flat and loud miaow, but I worked out that he must be deaf, as he could never hear me behind me.

Cats are intelligent and he might just need 10 minutes of you playing with him, or sitting by him. Mine has all of us trained, and the household works around him.

I’m almost sure it’s ‘I’m bored let’s start a bunfight’ However, That’s my way of coping with my anxiety of a potential cat being ill treated.

My cat follows me round the house (picture or I know it didn't happen). She gets in every cupboard or drawer I open, sticks her head in any food I have and throws herself on the floor in front of my feet when I walk. I like it!

Pretty mean you put him in another room and just leave him there. All cats are after food all the time, like most animals. Get him some toys to play with? Give him some fuss/attention

If you love him & hate him then that's pretty standard fare for a cat slave.
If you just hate him then he would probably be better off with a better cat slave.
