Who still likes a sherry?

I love a sherry in the winter, late afternoon, preferably by the fire.

Anyone agree? 😬

Lovely, and I agree, definitely a winter tipple.

I re-discovered Manzanilla at a holiday in Spain at a Tapas bar.

I do like it but it has to be a really good quality. Similar with port.

We have a fino for cooking as well (cooking also stands for trying before using it).

I don’t drink any more, but I used to love a Sherry or a port in the winter.

I love it. It reminds me of my nan. I've got her old sherry glasses from the 60s to drink it from too

My Sherry glass, I love it. Try to go sophisticated and dry but must confess I love Harvey’s Bristol Cream the best.

I am a disgrace as I like sweet sherry. It reminds me of my granny and celebration lunches and Christmas

My sil used to get given a bottle every year by a supplier and every year it made its way to me. Damn her for leaving that job.

Haha. I literally hate every sweet drink known to man except sweet Sherry. As soon as the nights draw in and we have a roast every Sunday I crack open the Harvey's Bristol Cream 👵🏼

Absolutely love the stuff. I am trying to watch my units right now, but I feel like a small bottle for the winter would be lovely. I like a sweet creamy sherry, and also medium dry.

I love sherry! I drink it dry and chilled in the summer and like a sweet one in the winter. I’m buy really nice sherry but had a Bristol cream at my mum’s recently and really enjoyed that too. I just fucking love sherry.

Harvey's Bristol Cream is my secret old-lady-style tipple. Makes me think of my mum's sherry trifle.

Yes but only on Christmas Eve, whilst eating a mince pie and listening to Carols At Kings on radio 4.

Have done it for years and refuse to deviate from this tradition

Have just had 2 small glasses of Waitrose Amontillado; I think I'll have a third.

I do like a nice, sweet sherry - thinking about it, there may be some in the cupboard....

I often have a chilled dry Sherry in place of a glass of wine.
Or a white port and tonic.

Later on in an evening I might enjoy a red port too.

I'm not keen on sweet or cream sherries though.

I am currently sipping a HBC as I soak in the bath

How funny, just came across this thread as I drained the last bit of my Sherry. Need to go and make dinner but I'm too cosy now to move. I have that warm feeling in my tummy 😀

Yes me, absolutely. A nice chilled Fino before dinner .... yum ....

I love a sherry especially on a cold day. Warming and comforting.

Always think of my granny who was very partial to her daily sherry (for medicinal purposes !)

At this time of year, a sherry with Stilton and fruit cake is a favourite in our house.
