Is anyone else trying to get a Christmas delivery slot?

This is my first year booking a delivery and I think I underestimated the demand - I’ve been in the queue for the best part of an hour

I'm not even trying to get a Christmas slot but can't get on to the app to do a normal delivery!

I’ve been queuing since five to seven. There was no queue at half past six but no Christmas slots either.

Also a queue dweller here! It never usually takes this long!

I got on right away, but I have delivery saver, perhaps that made a difference. Have you tried closing the app and reopening it? I did that at about 7.03 and it took me straight in. Good luck!

I have delivery saver too, I think slots don’t open for those without until later in the month?

I’ve been on the app and website since 7.02 can’t get in on either just in the queue

I logged on just before 7am and had to wait just under 10mins. Once I booked my slot the checkout screen crashed numerous times which freaked me out a bit. All done now, phew. Just had another quick look and locally there aren't any slots after Sunday now. Good luck to those still trying.

@WellyBootsAreYouFrom I think that Christmas slot access for today is for delivery saver only- those without it can access them from the 20th. So in theory, everyone queuing is a delivery saver customer. I certainly am.

Suspect we won’t be getting one now 😞

I think a lot more people have delivery saver now than previously. I certainly never considered it before the first lockdown but am now a regular customer.

I've only been there since 6.55 so looks like I've got ages left to wait!

I managed to get a slot after queuing on the app for a few min around 07:05. Good luck everyone!

Opened app at 6.50 and been queuing since. Have to go to work soon

Giving up now. School run . Yet another fiasco from Tesco. Every year they cock it up . Cancelling my delivery pass as it appears they can't be bothered to take our money !

If you are using the app, it might be worth trying the website instead, as I’ve found this is often faster
