What would you buy/do?

Must be life enhancing. Already have all the appliances I need, I think.

And of course must be available for home delivery.Smile

(Small windfall which has to be spent on “something nice, just for you.”)

Clothing/shoes
New make up
Coat
A decent Umbrella (because I've bought 2 in the last week and both have broken)

timothytoeseatenbyaghoul · 05/11/2020 23:01

£500 doesn't go far these days Confused

EasterIssland · 05/11/2020 23:01

Holiday
Spa day
Candles

timothytoeseatenbyaghoul · 05/11/2020 23:01

Oh and well done Smile

OytheBumbler · 05/11/2020 23:02

Apple Watch for one big thing. Otherwise I'd just browse for clothes/boots etc.

Essexgirlupnorth · 05/11/2020 23:02

Just seen the most beautiful vintage art deco dressing table on Ebay so probably that

Mosaic123 · 05/11/2020 23:03

A sculpture or a painting.

CountFosco · 05/11/2020 23:06

Yesterday I bought some made to measure roman blinds for the hallway that were about that price.

Right now? A rising portiere rod for the front door and a sputnik light for the hallway would be nice.

Dazedandconfused10 · 05/11/2020 23:07

Probably a laptop. I have a work one but feel like I need my own. I just cant bring myself to buy one even though I have the cash there!

wowfudge · 05/11/2020 23:08

Wallpaper. I have discovered I have expensive taste in wallpaper and £500 would do half our hall, stairs and landing.

jay55 · 05/11/2020 23:10

Pick n mix, nice wine and something sensible like a coat or bag.

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 05/11/2020 23:13

I'd like to replace my corner bath which has a split bath panel. I know that's not what you were aiming for though, so based on your criteria, there's a lovely leather jacket in John Lewis that I would like.

LzzyHale · 05/11/2020 23:14

A KitchenAid in raspberry pink

safariboot · 05/11/2020 23:17

This month, it would go into the bank account for mundane stuff. Because not being in my overdraft less than a week after payday is something nice just for me.

Stormy does professionally offended :/

Right now, I'd throw a random £500 at an overlocker.

myhobbyisouting · 05/11/2020 23:36

I'd make the treats last as long as possible. So I'd buy;

A 3 month bloom and wild subscription £60

A bath holder for all the things I need in the bath along with some nice moisturiser and bath/pamper stuff (not forgetting pedicure kit) £100

Cheese and olives and a graze box subscription as well as nice crackers and a board to serve it all on £40

Nice food from a local restaurant (obviously at home) which I get dressed up for and have with wine and a cocktail £60

Ugg slippers £90

Books £20

New pair of Docs £130

myhobbyisouting · 05/11/2020 23:38

And then I'd remember I must be eternally fucking miserable due to "timing, innit" and send it all back Grin

AugustRose · 05/11/2020 23:45

Some new bras and yoga kit
Books - there's loads I want to read
Camera or phone to take macro shots

Marchmarch · 05/11/2020 23:45

Slippers and subscriptions sounds nice.

And for Stormy, I’m sorry this has hit a nerve. If I explained how this came about then you wouldn’t begrudge me a penny but it would be rather outing.

I would buy myself a shark hoover and the rest I'd use for a night or 2 away in a premier inn and treat myself to a nice meal when lockdown is over

TiersTiersTiers · 05/11/2020 23:58

I wound spend it on my children.

TiersTiersTiers · 05/11/2020 23:59

Sorry. I just couldn't follow the rules.... call me a rebel - spend it on the children all the time

MissMarplesHandbag · 06/11/2020 00:00

A lovely leather designer handbag - I’d blow the full £500
