What would you buy/do?

Must be life enhancing. Already have all the appliances I need, I think.

And of course must be available for home delivery.Smile

(Small windfall which has to be spent on “something nice, just for you.”)

A new mattress

firedragon101 · 06/11/2020 00:06

Depends, if it had come as an inheritance from family or friend I'd buy a plant or (small patio) fruit tree for the garden and a bit of jewellery as a reminder of them.
If it was from a work bonus or lottery win I'd treat myself to a Cashmere jumper/ cardigan and new pair of comfy boots.
In reality it would go on my next dentist bill 😆😂

MrsAvocet · 06/11/2020 00:12

I would buy myself some new cycling shoes and I also need some winter boots.
There's also a coat that I keep seeing on an advert that I really like but have no need of whatsoever - I have loads of coats and most of them rarely get worn. But if I had to indulge myself I could probably be persuaded to buy it. Grin
Hope you find something nice to treat yourself with.

ChocsAway2 · 06/11/2020 00:40

Winter PJs, a onesie (!), an indoor coat, heated massage pad, phillips epilator, nice face cream, perfume society mix box, butter non toxic nail polish colours, comfy bras, amazon echo show, some books, house plant, cook book.

ChocsAway2 · 06/11/2020 00:41

And premium bonds

HollyandIvyandallthingsYule · 06/11/2020 00:44

A cape, a pair of chelsea boots and a wool fedora. I’d wait til the BF sales though, which would leave me with enough leftover to buy a handbag in the Jan sales.

SleepingStandingUp · 06/11/2020 00:45

Two new Ian Irvine's books. £13 each, I just can't justify it.
Decent winter boots with GRIP. I have men's boots for the school run as they have better grip but some ladylike ones would be nice.
A Starbucks / Costa voucher
A posh filofax / diary thing so I'd only have to buy the new diary bits each year

Waxonwaxoff0 · 06/11/2020 05:51

A nice bag. I like designer bags.

katscamel · 06/11/2020 06:56

Jewellery...an antique (style) ring, some new perfume and funky shoes.

Nuffaluff · 06/11/2020 07:07

Definitely a really nice pair of boots. The type that cost about two hundred pounds that you can’t justify buying normally, so you buy the cheaper ones and they fall apart/ are uncomfortable/ just aren’t quite perfect.

Blownaway1 · 06/11/2020 07:10

Either:
Apple Watch
New handbag
Nice coat and boots
Or jewellery

ImRealHonest · 06/11/2020 07:17

Scar removal on the bridge of my nose.

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 06/11/2020 07:25

I'd head to Tiffany (online). Something beautiful to last forever.

Lollypop701 · 06/11/2020 07:31

A full house clean, including windows/oven. Plus jewellery for something to remember them by

grool · 06/11/2020 07:40

I'd buy a pair of Duo Boots because I'm fed up of buying boota from Evans or Simply Be for my boat feet and them not lasting more than a week.

The rest would go on some perfume and makeup.

BorderlineHappy · 06/11/2020 07:47

If I had £500 just to be spent on me I would get myself a new tattoo.

BusterGonad · 06/11/2020 08:11

At this moment in time, I'd buy 4 new bras, nice comfy but stylish pants. Some perfectly fitting jeans and about 5 long and flattering t shirts, any change I spend on Shishedo eyeshadow quads.

HollyandIvyandallthingsYule · 06/11/2020 08:59

It’s actually much more likely that I’d buy another Mulberry bag. I love a new handbag and the lure would be too much.

Or maybe some jewellery - I keep meaning to get myself something from Georg Jensen, but aforementioned lure has always won out...

BlackeyedSusan · 06/11/2020 09:11

Real wool yarn, real wool jumpers, base layers gloves, scarf and blankets. Moth killer.

BlackeyedSusan · 06/11/2020 09:11

Lots of moth killer.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 06/11/2020 09:12

Spa weekend. I would kill for a massive and a sauna....

DrCoconut · 06/11/2020 09:15

A nice holiday would be good. Or I'd put it towards the improvements needed at my house.

TyroBurningDownTheCloset · 06/11/2020 09:19

As I've spent a lifetime losing out by the Sam Vimes 'Boots' theory of economic unfairness, I too would be investing in some decent footwear.

The rest, if I were lucky enough not to have debts, would go some way to reducing the ridiculous length of my Amazon book list.

BrokenBrit · 06/11/2020 09:20

Some expensive welly’s
Some nice pjs and maybe one of those snuggly hoody blankets
New games for the switch which we all enjoy.

freddosfrogs · 06/11/2020 09:23

@safariboot

This month, it would go into the bank account for mundane stuff. Because not being in my overdraft less than a week after payday is something nice just for me.
I'd do this too, it'd be a lovely feeling not to be in that situation the day after pay day. It'd need more money though.
