What would you buy/do?

Must be life enhancing. Already have all the appliances I need, I think.

And of course must be available for home delivery.Smile

(Small windfall which has to be spent on “something nice, just for you.”)

I'd hang onto it until after lockdown and have a weekend away in a nice hotel.

JuliaJohnston · 09/11/2020 00:02

A KitchenAid, I think.
timothytoeseatenbyaghoul, I wonder why you bothered posting that pissy response??

JuliaJohnston · 09/11/2020 00:03

Oh, you've chosen roses bushes, op. Good shout 👍

MotherOfDragonite · 10/11/2020 10:54

Wonderful choice, OP! You will get to appreciate those roses for years :-)

I do love a good pair of boots too. It makes me feel all autumnal and cheerful just thinking about new boots!

cherryblossomgin · 10/11/2020 10:57

Nintendo switch pastel

BanningTheWordNaice · 10/11/2020 10:57

A really nice well fitting coat.

HollyandIvyandallthingsYule · 10/11/2020 10:57

Yes, great choices! A lovely pair of boots is one of my favourite things for autumn/winter, and David Austin roses are so beautiful!

Wishing you much happiness and enjoyment of your lovely things.

I would put it towards my ideal longed for new tent and start planning camping and travel for when it is possible.

I expect this to be a niche purchase Grin

If there was nothing I immediately want I would save it until I did. I wouldn’t spend it for the sake of it.

YesPleaseMary · 10/11/2020 11:03

Oh a pair of Dubarry boots

itchyfinger · 10/11/2020 11:56

Lip fillers Grin and a naice coat or boots

Astella22 · 10/11/2020 11:59

Ive just been told I'm getting and extra £1000 this month as a thank you for working so hard over covid etc.

We are going to buy new garden furniture, I want a new Christmas Tree and I also want some new dining chairs (yet to convince DH we should as 'I can fix those broken chairs, we don't need new ones). Also going to get a ring doorbell.

I know many won't think this is spending on me though...

I do want a nice food processor. I kept mentioning I wanted one (but kept referring to it as a blender) so DH got me a blender. My fault though!

If it was purely about me I would probably look to get a new ipad. There is nothing wring with mine though, its just old!

Rory786 · 10/11/2020 16:51

I would get teeth whitening done. My dentist does it for about £350 and it lasts for 4 years or so. You can top it up at home.

SciFiScream · 11/11/2020 17:58

I've still got the Rose Bush given as a moving in gift from my Grandma to my Dad and his wife. Grandma was my maternal Grandparent though.

It was given to him in 1989 and has moved 4 times.

My Grandma died before I finished my degree, the Rose Bush flowered on the day of my ceremony. Perhaps you think that's not unusual? I had a late graduation. I graduated on 6th December. Rose Bush flowered one bud that day!

A beautiful coincidence I suspect.

Enjoy your boots and roses OP.

Tree ferns. That is all.
