Yes.

LadyCatStark · 03/11/2020 20:54

Definitely. A constantly barking dog is one of the most annoying things you can live next to!

BigBirdsbird · 03/11/2020 20:54

Yes

Yes

PerfidiousAlbion · 03/11/2020 20:56

Absolutely. Both my neighbours have two dogs. They bark at passers by, neighbours, delivery people, relatives, me, when I’m in my garden, cats, traffic, fireworks, other dogs. It’s exhausting.

Ifailed · 03/11/2020 21:00

Yes. I would take it as an indicator that it's owners don't care about the dog or anyone else.

Findahouse21 · 03/11/2020 21:07

Yes, I wouldn't buy the house.

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/11/2020 21:08

Yes. Our neighbour with the yappy dogs has just moved and the streets so quiet now.

tenlittlecygnets · 03/11/2020 21:08

Yes!

AlwaysLatte · 03/11/2020 21:09

I wouldn't want to live anywhere it was possible to hear neighbours or dogs so any noise at all would be a deal breaker for me.

BearSoFair · 03/11/2020 21:11

Yes. Especially yappy dogs!

Hiccupiscal · 03/11/2020 21:12

My shepard has taken to barking. Everytime he goes out, we can't figure out why, he makes me want to move house, so I feel for the neighbours and do apologise as much as I can!

So yes, even as a barking dog owner, it would put me off. My own dog is driving me crazy, never mind others!

AnnieMaul · 03/11/2020 21:13

Yes, I wouldn't even consider it if I got the impression that the barking was a reoccurring problem- and I say that as a massive dog lover with my own dogs. Nothing worse than something that disrupts peaceful enjoyment of your own home.

Are you thinking of buying a house next to a barking dog? Do you like dogs yourself?

gchali · 03/11/2020 21:14

Yes. I live next door to somebody who has a dog that barks constantly and it is really annoying!

MoonSauce · 03/11/2020 21:15

Yep.

BackforGood · 03/11/2020 21:16

Yes. Though I might - if I liked the house enough - try knocking on other neighbours' doors and getting more information.
As in, just because it was barking at the time of the viewing doesn't mean it is barking all the time???
